Kumo Sushi & Hibachi

Decent sushi place in the area price was reasonable, service and food is good.came here a few times for lunch since I worked in the area.

All you can eat sushi! It was very good. The sushi and miso soup were absolutely delicious.
The service was on the slow side. Avoid the green tea ice cream. I love green tea ice cream so I was very excited for it. It was super freezer burnt and sad.

This place is good but the sushi is huge. One of their rolls is the size of 2 regular rolls. If you go here, order conservatively.

The fish used for the all you can eat sushi is fresh and cut properly. However for the price, the selection is limited to simple, inexpensive rolls and sashimi. I also wish they would season their rice more.

I have been coming to this restaurant since I was in college, so about 5-6 years now. I love about 5-10 minutes away, so this is my go-to. The food is great and the staff are always SO welcoming. Just tonight I came in with less than an hour to close and asked if their lobby was open. The staff welcomed me in, and made everything to order—hot, fresh, and delicious. Thank you all so much at Kumo for all that you do. It most certainly does not go unappreciated.

Really enjoyed the place and friendly staff! I love sushi but can't order it to save my life; the waitress was so sweet to help locate what I wanted. Everything was perfect!

This place is lacking in many areas. The service left much to be desired, and the rolls (we ordered 4) were very bland. The iced tea tasted about 4 days old and the fish was not as fresh as it should have been. Even the miso soup was clearly old, with rubbery seaweed pieces and chives floating about. I will never be back, waste of money.

I can't say more about this place. It's authentic an if you want real sushi Japanese bento box come here. Their food is authentic tasking an is top notch to everyone else. A true hidden gem.

Unbelievable quality with a great atmosphere. Fantastic service, food as fresh as could be, and again, some of the best sushi I’ve had in the US!!

All you can eat was good and great price. Good selections and options on the menu for the all you can eat and good quality food. Definitely not the best I've had nor the worst. Would've been a 3 star but price was right and service was excellent. A little higher quality of food and cleaner restrooms and it would've been an easy 5 Star.

I had high expectations walking in - but it wasn't all that. I have had better sushi to be honest. The staff was kind of checked out since the place wasn't that busy. I had to ask for things twice. The chef came out and greeted us which was nice. Don't think i would go back.

Sushi from here was wonderful. The staff was friendly. The only reason one star was deducted is that there are very few special rolls that are raw and don't have tempura crunch and those don't have normal rice/seaweed wraps. However, I was comfortable with the friendliness of the staff to where if I wanted to recommend a special roll with something removed or added, they might do it and if they couldn't then I don't expect that they would be rude in their decline. OMGosh words can't express how much I could dislike this place! Only my 5 year old child could eat it out of 3 adults and it 4 of us. The yum yum sauce that I paid Extra for is nasty!!!! When I tell you that everything was not good..... EVERYTHING WAS LITERALLY DISGUSTING and I paid a lot of money for it. I want to support during COVID but this is NOT it!! try it if you want .. better luck than me

Best sushi place in town!!! Thanks chef for the best godzilla roll and volcano roll. Shout out to Seble for being kind and she assisted us thoroughly!

Doesn't look like much but it's the best all you can eat in town. Always fresh and you won't leave hungry or feeling cheated. A large variety of rolls anD sashimi on the all you can eat menu most places dot have that. If you feel like other places are no good and haven't tried here you Aaron missing out.

Food was great, probably the best sushi I've had in the US. The servers were really friendly. Will definitely visit again!

I went in for the all you can eat (AYCE) sushi. The Chinese hostess came out and asked how many ( I'm starting to think this is the formal greeting in all Chinese restaurants) and proceeds to walk me to the bar. There are empty seats around and rather sitting me in front of the sushi bar, I am off to the side.

I looked at the menu and when I asked about the AYCE, the server says theres a separate menu for that... oh great. Lets see what the limitations are to this AYCE.

Wow so basically you can choose only 4 basic meats for sashimi, which none include tuna or salmon. Theres more for nigiri

We always enjoy coming to Kumo sushi and hibachi for lunch. It is in the Eagles Center, next to University of Mary Washington. It has ample parking as it is in a shopping center. We are always greeted with the most friendly people. There are always locals enjoying lunch when we get there. We love the sushi special, all you can eat for One price. It includes some of the kitchen menu, like soup, tempura, salads. They also have a full menu to order from if sushi is not your thing. I have always found it to be clean and up kept. The bathrooms are nice. They do have an ABC license.

This is literally the best place to get sushi in a 50 mile radius. I keep coming back, and am never disappointed. Staff is attentive, service is fast, and quality has always been superior. I've tried every single item on the all-you-can-eat sushi menu, and have disliked nothing! Decor is simple, and the atmosphere is well suited to singles, and groups alike. Location is phenomenal, and I seriously think that if they were to double the size of the building, they could easily keep it profitable.

Update as of 2019
About a year after the initial incident I realize mistakes are made (plus I have no clue of way worse things that occur in fast food joints) . With that being said, I gave this place another chance since a family member was in the mood for hibachi. It was just as good as before, but I made sure to CLOSELY OBSERVE my food!
