Kazumi Modern Japanese

Went here yesterday for the first time after it was recommended by a friend, and am still in shock at the way we were treated and the quality of their practically nonexistent customer service. We first asked to move tables as it was starting to rain, which the staff didn’t seem too fond off since it meant slight physical labor on their part. The spicy tuna roll came out with practically no fish (see image) which the manager later said “has to do with how they cut the rolls.” I sent it back and they brought another, so obviously the issue was not how it was cut. The food was good, not great though. There are few veggie options. The Veggie roll was yummy, although too small compared to the non veggie ones. The egg plant pinchos were great, the asparagus one, not so much. The gyosas were good, but kind of greasy.

If we had sake and a broad selection of menu items. I was especially happy with the miso soup! I love when the little things like mushrooms are added to the soup.
The roasted peppers on the menu are delicious and worth the trip alone!

Only one word comes to mind: incredible. Upon arriving, we were seated quickly and our waiter was very friendly. We ordered a couple of the rolls recommended to us by the waiter. They came out fast and fresh, very tasty. For dessert, ordered the fried Oreos which were very delicious. I highly recommend visiting Kazumi whenever you can.

By far, the worse service I have experienced in my life. I've been there several times and I always have been treated poorly. It always looks like they are doing you a favor.. . It is also expensive. I would recommend you to go some place else.
I wrote this review after being treated badly once more. I live on the Island for a long time and I always have been mistreated in this place.
To clarify the owner's response, the last time I was there, I didn't have a reservation. I asked for a table outside, the waiter, with the usual attitude from this place, said there was no table outside, but that

Very much improved food. I tried the ramen and it was good for the most part, except for a thawed aftertaste. Otherwise the food has improved over the last couple of years. Great for a night out with friends!
