Through counseling, support groups, workshops, and classes, CCEC offers opportunities for you to learn, heal, and grow. Whether you are a single adult, teen, family, or couple, CCEC is here for you. Over 37 years ago, Patricia Cooper and Jaclyn Henretig were determined to provide a space where all members of the Santa Barbara community could access quality mental health services, regardless of ability to pay.
With generous support from clients who had experienced healing through the work of these gifted and caring therapists, Community Counseling and Education Center was born. Today, CCEC serves as one of the area's most well-respected training centers for graduate students and associate therapists who want to learn the art of process therapy.

Services
I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where my Mexican father and my Spanish mother taught me the importance of love, being true, and building community. I am honored to walk in the path of Patricia Cooper and Jaclyn Henretig, caring for the well-being of the Santa Barbara community one phone call, client, trainee, associate, supervisor, Center supporter, and human at a time.
Whether it's managing a life transition, grieving a loss, facing challenges in a relationship, or simply because you need someone to talk to, CCEC is here to help. With the generosity of the Santa Barbara community behind us, CCEC is able to provide confidential and affordable counseling services to individuals, couples, children, teens and families.
CCEC's mission is fulfilled through the generous gifts of the trainee and associate therapists in our Clinical Training Program. Guided by some of the area's most sought-after licensed therapists, program participants are molded into client-centered clinicians with every volunteer hour, supervision, training, and cohort collaboration.

They advertise if you just need counseling, just somebody to talk to call us. That is incorrect they take into consideration everything that you don't want them to take into consideration and then deny you service. If you're problems are too difficult for them to handle they deny service. If I was to try to get counseling there again I definitely minimize any mental illness problems that I had so that They wouldn't feel overwhelmed and would be able to Council me. Bottom line is I feel that you can't be truthful these people so better not even go there.
