Nathan Holtey has been practicing law for over 15 years. Raised in Ashland, OR, Nathan attended Tufts University in Boston before coming back to Oregon and attending the University of Oregon School of Law. Sarah J. Brown is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law and a Portland native. In the past she has worked as an attorney at Yates, Matthews & Eaton, P.C.
Nathan Holtey has been practicing law for over 15 years. Sarah is the managing partner at Holtey Law. Sarah has extensive experience handling custody, parenting time, spousal support, complex property division, and large asset cases. Sarah understands both the legal and emotional complexities involved in family law disputes and will serve as a strong and level-headed advocate.
Bachelor of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning and Geography, Miami University, Ohio, 1999. James King is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law, and has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 2009.
Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, James completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio and his Master's of Science degree at the University of Arizona before working as an urban planner for a private civil engineering firm until 2006.

Michael Schaefer moved to the Portland area when he was 10 and, with the exception of his undergraduate studies at Syracuse University, he's lived here ever since. He graduated from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2012, and was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in the same year. Prior to joining Holtey Law, Michael ran his own solo practice in West Linn.

I was forced to represent myself for a year and a half while the other party had an attorney in my custody case and parenting time matter. It was an absolute nightmare until I was able to hire Alison Kamilos. She came into this matter and literally handled everything so professionally and perfectly. Nathan Holtey handled my divorce case very well! My ex and I had a written agreement when the separation occurred, but later she hired the big bad female led divorce firm in town. When she did this, I knew this could be very bad and very costly for us both. I had to find someone who was not afraid to take her firm on!!! I just finished working with Nate and I had a really great experience. As a single woman who doesn't have a disposable income, I was super nervous about the entire process. I had called to schedule an appointment and would not have cared if I needed to wait a few days, but was told I could call back in an hour and speak to a lawyer (James King) directly. Pretty weird that she seemed to insist that it would be best if I called back (instead of them calling me when convenient), but sure, I can call back.
