Buckeye Health Agency, LLC provides services for passport program which provide services for older adults and their families. We also provide services for consumers of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and Medicare, Medicaid.
Home health care is a type of health care service that is intended to patients who choose to remain at home after a hospital discharge, for the sick and disabled seniors and for chronically ill patients. Home health care includes the provision of skilled care services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health aide, speech therapy, medical social services and skilled nursing.
The need for dependable bedside nursing care is as prevalent as ever, ranging from hospitals to home health agencies to long-term care facilities. The State tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), plays an important role, providing basic care while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
The STNA class is 75 hours (2-weeks) certificate program. This course covers communication and interpersonal skills, infection prevention, safety, emergency procedures, promoting residents' and independence, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, mental health and social service needs, basic restorative services and residents' rights.
It is called Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in some states but here in Ohio it is called STNA.
