La Maria Mexican Restaurant

My bride and I have eaten here twice now and are finding it very good Tex-Mex. I have had the Tamale dinner as well as the beef enchiladas and the bride has had the cheese enchiladas and the chicken quesadillas. All have been excellent. The queso is rather plain though and the Salsa needs some heat.

The menu offers a great many things so we both look forward to sampling more of it in the future.

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday . The food and service were very good .
I had the pork chops covered with ranchero and they were great!!

This place is definitely a must try! We came here for a late quick lunch on Sunday since we just moved to the area.

When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and sat. The complimentary chips and salsa -- omg the green sauce! Not spicy at all but so good! Must must try, we had 2 more!

My husband and I shared the sampler as a meal since I wasn't that hungry. The taquitos were delicious! The chicken was not dry in it!

Will definitely be coming back!

I love this place. We've been here twice now and both times the staff was so polite and welcoming. The food as well is delicious. I highly recommend the nachos with beef fajitas.

This has been our favorite TexMex local restaurant for awhile in the Cypress area. Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Servers are friendly and the service is prompt. And the Jumbo Gold Margarita is superb ! Also, when they reopened after COVID, the place is spotless and every effort at cleanliness is being adhered to. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

My favorite Mexican Restaurant. Food is always great and consistently so. Staff has always been friendly and great service. Outside may not look fancy, but the food is the best!

Literally the BEST authentic Mexican restaurant in Cypress! My friends/family and I always come here for our Mexican food fix because their brand and rice are amazing, their chips and salsa is addicting, and they have a tasty spicy salsa we request every time we go. The waiters basically bring it to us before asking because we go so often! I love ordering the Chile Rellano, as it is literally the best I've ever had, anywhere. Their enchiladas are also amazing. Great margaritas too.

Just go, you won't regret it!

We have eaten here on and off for years! Prices have gone up and Taco Bell tastes better. I had the señorita plate, the taco meat was under cooked and pink. The enchilada sauce was watery with weird chucks of tomato's and onions. Next time I would rather stop at Taco Bell than eat there . My parents meals were also a disappointment neither finished their meal

If you're looking for a "strong" margarita La Maria is where its at. The food is average, to be honest. But, once you get going with that margarita, you won't mind the average food at all!
The servers are fast and friendly. The restaurant is a bit tight when it comes the set up with the tables, especially on busy nights. But if you're lucky to get in a booth, you're good to go.

Good food, great service. Quick to fill your drink and to make a correction if your order is wrong.

Ordered the tortilla soup, added a small amount of cheese on top then noticed green mold throughout the shredded cheese. Makes me sick to think of those who ate moldy cheese in their enchiladas or quesadillas that couldn't be seen. Alerted the waitress and she still charged full price for the soup and no offer to replace it with another item. Would have been appropriate for a manager to stop by to apologize. Visit was 6/11/19.

Usually our go-to restaurants include Gringos or Lupe Tortillas, however today we stumbled upon a gem of a place called La Maria's.

Their food was served hot, packed with flavor, and was brought out a lot quicker than the two places mentioned above. Not to mention they have great portions!

What really made this visit special for us were our two servers Alvaro and Rafael. Not once did we have to ask for a drink to be topped off or our chips and salsa to be refilled.

We haven't been here in awhile....and now I remember why. The food is way over priced. The tortilla soup was salty and full of dried out chicken, celery, and carrots. There were no tortilla strips in it...how do they call it tortilla soup and there's no tortillas? Everyone in my party including myself ordered the white chicken enchiladas in cream sauce. As you can clearly see in the picture, the "cream sauce" looked more like a solidified film on top of the enchiladas. It was very disappointing and we will not be going back.

Yes, Cypress has some really nice restaurants. La Marias is my little whole in the wall got to get my margarita on before noon type of place.
The food is awesome. My usual is the the two shredded chicken tastodos, bourbon coke single tall, and shot of patron. Hello and welcome to my Sunday.

When your Cypress TX, do not pass this place up. Super friendly staff and a great not over bearing atmosphere.
My advise, head to the back bar. Great margaritas. Plenty of fresh thick chips and salsa....
