Midway offers a variety of advanced diagnostics appropriate for your species including digital and dental radiographs, ultrasound imaging and a full in-house diagnostic laboratory. We also partner with outside laboratories for advanced or specialized testing, when necessary. So whether your pet needs routine vaccinations and wellness care or has an illness or injury, you'll find us equipped to handle their needs.

Wellness care for your avian, reptilian, amphibian or exotic companion mammal family members. Partnered with outside diagnostic laboratories specializing in exotics for additional or advanced testing.
The American Animal Hospital Association is the only organization to accredit companion animal veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada. Nearly 60 percent of pet owners believe their veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In actuality, only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited by AAHA.

Absolutely amazing staff. Very professional, very kind, and rather affordable. I brought my dog here quite a few times. They helped her as much as they could and her doctor had even come to say goodbye before she went. Very sweet people and I'd highly recommend them. Even though I brought my dog here for her final moments, I had brought her here here many times before as well and they'd helped quite a bit every single time. Once again, HIGHLY recommend. :)

All the staff is very responsive and helpful. I have had nothing but good experiences here with my dog. Our doctor is very thorough and I know my dog is getting the best care with him!

I disliked setting up an appointment for my 2 guinea pigs and then being charged a WORK IN FEE for one of my pigs. I feel like if that was their policy then maybe being clear on the phone that I would be charged for not filling out duplicate copies of the e-forms, instead of being told that I would just have to fill them out in person at the appointment.
Thought being treated like that was wack, there are better places to take my animals.

My experience was excellent. Even with the craziness of the pandemic still affecting our daily lives the staff is kind courteous and attentive. The staff takes the time to speak and really listen and the doctors explain everything themselves. I recommend this vets office to everyone.

Many animal hospitals claim to have great customer service and be able to treat an exotic pet. But really don't deal with them much. I have a bearded dragon that was misdiagnosed at another animal clinic. I decided to bring him to Midway. The staffing are very professional, courteous, time efficient and very knowledgeable about various types of species. I found out my bearded dragon needed surgery and I become very worried. But they assured me that he would be ok. During the procedure, they called me and gave me updates on his progress. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else to have him treated. I

The staff at Midway so kind and understand. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of calling for my parakeet, which was having eye issues. I was greeted with 5 minutes of showing up for my appointment. The vet and technician were patient with my questions and concerns. I felt at ease with their patience. I would definitely recommend Midway to anyone with a bird or any other exotic pet.

This is my go-to veterinary practice for all 9 of my pet rats. The entire staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional.
No one has ever batted an eye at the presence of the rats and most of the staff like to say hello to my frequent visitors! And while being a regular at a vet isn't ideal (because someone is sick) it does make me feel like they really care about each of my pets. I've had some pretty sick rats in the past, and I feel like the vets here have always listened to my many many rambling concerns and questions patiently. The people were so AMAZING, they took great care of Cash and I. It was very quick service and they are being very safe with Co-Vid restrictions. They acted like Cash (my cat) was their own pet and treted him how I would want him to be treated. The prices are great and once again A+ 5⭐ service. If you live in Chesapeake or surrounding areas you want to bring ur animals here.

I would rate these guys 10 stars if I could. We brought our mouse in, and ultimately made the decision to euthanize. The entire staff were so incredibly kind, sensitive, and helpful even about a mouse. I felt they truly cared and took their time to discuss options and treat him. We called around 8am as it was an emergency situation and they fit us in right away. I couldn’t have wished for better care. Dr. Miller did an excellent job talking us through everything and comforting us. She took her time and made us feel like our tiny mouse mattered. We have the option to use the more affordable naval
