Any criminal charge or conviction could have serious consequences. People are often surprised to learn of the collateral consequences which can result from arrests or convictions.

Convictions for assault and battery or domestic violence carry serious consequences in Denton County. Convictions for violent crimes will affect your ability to rent an apartment, obtain meaningful employment, qualify for a loan or carry a gun. Accusations of family violence can also be significant in divorce proceedings - especially where child custody and spousal support are at issue.
It is important to discuss what happened prior to, during, and after an arrest in great detail. The police must have "reasonable suspicion" to stop a motor vehicle. This may include traffic violations like speeding and failing to signal lane change or turn. Police also regularly stop cars for "weaving" or other seemingly unusual driving patterns.

I am amending my original review of Mr. Boswell’s handling of my family member’s case. The following is my original review...
“Mr. Boswell was court appointed to represent a family member. There have been daily attempts to get in touch with him by multiple persons for 2 weeks with no reply. Do not hire him. Find someone who will actually do their job.
My last option has been to contact the Attorney General’s office to file a formal complaint.”
Less than 3 hours after posting this review, Mr. Boswell called me. He seemed very friendly on the phone. He also told me that he’d been in

Mr. Boswell was an amazing attorney. He was so invested in both of my cases and gave me hope when other attorneys said nothing could be done. Mr.Boswell was singlehandedly the most professional attorney I have had the pleasure of meeting, he always made sure that you understood your options. Joe Boswell is a fantastic attorney. He was able to expedite some motions for me faster than anyone else could, and was successful in prepping me and getting my motions granted where other attorneys thought it would be a long shot for success. He even went the extra mile on his own to file further motions to my benefit, and he was successful in getting those granted when I though it was unlikely.
He was always available via email and phone, was very easy to talk to, and would answer any questions quickly and professionally with all the honest, necessary info a client should consider.

I previously worked for Dawn and Joe as their legal assistant (best job I have ever had). They are amazing attorneys and, more importantly, amazing people. They are honest, kind, and professional. Even though it was a challenging time in life, Dawn made every effort to make it easier. She had to do multiple negotiations with the cases we were involved in and worked out a very good deal. There were several difficult things she had to make us aware of, but never make it hard to ask question and clarify if we did not understand. She has always been readily available when we needed assistance. I would recommend her to anyone needing the services of an attorney.
