Pain To Performance Solutions
Since 2008, Alexis Kurtzman has been performing neurological-based bodywork that is unparalleled to anything you have experienced before. As the owner of PTPS, her goal is for you to live a pain-free life through the healing and relaxation benefits of regular massage therapy and bodywork. PTPS provides pain to performance solutions to your ailments and can bring you relief.

We use a combination of Manual and Movement Therapy, Therapeutic Bodywork, Clinical, and Wellness Massage to give you quick, long-lasting, and often permanent relief. We don't guess. We test. The foundation of our therapy is neuro-based bodywork modalities with neurological based testing techniques and state of the art strategies.
Services
Pain to Performance Solutions in Bellevue Washington is here to provide pain relief, resolve injuries, and improve your sports performance. When it comes to pain relief and injuries, the body can be like an onion. You have to pull back a few layers to figure out what's going on, especially if you've been suffering for a while.
PTPS is legally open and following all government mandates (WA ST Governer, WA ST Health Department and the CDC) for cleaning, disinfecting, sanitation and PPE to increase your protection against the virus and to help stop the spread. We are taking extra steps to ensure the cleanliness of the facility.
Alexis Kurtzman LMT NKT (Level 3) MMP (Intraoral Endorsement) CES CPT RYT200 has been a bodyworker since 2009 and has dedicated her practice to bringing you innovative pain relief techniques. Originally, she started her first practice like most massage therapists. Clients would come in, and she would treat the area of complaint.
You can usually feel trigger points in tight bands of muscle. You feel the pain because there is increased tension which makes the muscle rigid which can result in a lack of range of motion and even entrapped nerves - ouch! Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT) uses sustained static pressure on a specific area for several seconds or even up to a few minutes to access the muscle fibers and release them.
NeuroKinetic Therapy is a testing protocol that identifies dysfunctional movement patterns that are stored in the brain. Using this protocol, therapists can stimulate the body-brain complex to resolve injury, stress, and pain. When a muscle is not functioning properly, other muscles pick up the slack and become overworked and lead to hypertonicity, lack of functionality, tightness, injury and poor athletic performance.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism
I went to Alexis for post surgical lymphatic drainage. She is so knowledgeable and very personable. I always felt so much better after my treatments with her and she’s helped my healing tremendously. I would highly recommend going to Alexis for any of your treatment needs.

Alexis is hands down the best masseuse I have ever had. I have had sports injuries that have plagued me for years and she has been able to figure out the root of what's causing my pain or weakness and within one session relieve years of agony. Not only do my sessions with her relieve any niggles of pain that I may be having, she also assesses what muscles are over/under functioning and gives exercises to do at home to reverse the disfunction - resulting in my pain not returning. I cannot recommend Alexis enough!

I'm so glad to have found Pain To Performance! Alexis provided excellent post-surgical MLD, which really helped improve the healing outcome, decrease pain, and speed up the recovery process. She has a deep knowledge of the human body and shares that understanding with her clients. From a practical perspective, she's easy to schedule with and she's a great communicator (emails always answered in a timely way), and she goes to great lengths to ensure the safety and comfort of her clients.

I'm in my 20's and had ACL Knee surgery. After a couple months of physical therapy it was clear I couldn't push past constant knee pain and a lot of my muscles were not firing or working correctly and I wasn't getting anywhere with my physical therapist alone. I turned to Alexis and she has turned my recovery around and how I will workout my body for the rest of my life! She investigated my body finding the specific ROOT of where my pain and problems originate from. She gave me exercises to do at home that are simple and easy to understand. After loyally doing my exercises and listening to Alexis

After a complicated surgery, my Doctor and my GP recommended lymphatic therapist and massage for pain relief.
They gave me few therapists and I interviewed them by phone. I choseed Pine to Performance Solutions and had alredy few tretments.
I have been seeing Alexis and from the first tretment I felt that the my pain and inflammation went down. I couldn't believe that this is possible considering the pain I was in. I started going on regular therapy with her and I'm so happy to have no returning pain. Alexis always knows just what to do to provide the best healing. She is intuitive, very attentive

Alexis has been doing lymphatic massage and other treatments on me and my son for several years to help with our treatments for chronic lyme disease. She is now treating our daughter as well. She is super smart, kind, great with kids, and flexible. She is always enhancing her skills and introducing new treatment modalities. We all look forward to our sessions with Alexis as we know we will feel better. Thank you, Alexis!

Alexis is a great masseuse. I loved my massage and she really has deep understanding of anatomy and the muscles. I had a great massage and felt much better afterwards. She helped me also in bringing my focus in my exercise routine to hit different muscle group in my back and shoulders, to help alleviate the pain (that pain is something I have always just considered chronic back pain, but with exercise it has improved). Highly recommend.

Alexis is knowledgeable, kind, and professional! She consistently explained and communicated her actions. She focused on getting to the root of the problem and instructing me on how to strengthen or promote my healing. I had been suffering a moderate amount of pain and after an hour with her, felt less pain and more range of movement! I highly recommend!

I would give zero star. Alexis was not professional at all with her so-called "body work". She kept putting so much force on my arm and shoulder though I told her it hurt. I finished the session in pain and had limited arm movement/inflammation since then. I'll have to see a doctor if the limited mobility persists.
Alexis was all about selling her "treatment sessions" and kept telling me that if you leave today without buying more sessions, the discount will no longer be available. Most unprofessional massage ever. Avoid!

Excellent work. Great knowledge. Don`t be fooled by the Spa name, it is much more than a spa. Instead of rubbing the area that hurts (the symptom, the victim), she finds the cause (the killer). She will address it, and correct the dysfunction. If you need results, make sure you visit Alexis, she is great and I highly recommend her. Thanks for your passion for helping others :-)
