Virginia Beach Veterinary Hospital is proud to serve the Virginia Beach VA area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. David H. Morris, who is a licensed, experienced Virginia Beach veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. Morris and his identical twin brother, Daniel, were born in Roanoke, VA. Although Virginia Beach was "home base" for the Morris family, Dr. Morris has lived for short periods all over the world, including Germany and even Brazil. He graduated from Norfolk Academy, received his BS in Biology and Business at the University of Richmond, and finally his DVM at Mississippi State University.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We go by appointment at Virginia Beach Veterinary Hospital, but if you happen to stop by with your pet to be seen, and a veterinarian is available, we will do our best to accomodate you.

My husband and I just got our first pet (A kitten) from a rescue and wanted to find a vet near our house to check on her, make sure she was doing fine .. etc.
The staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable. They shared advice, asked questions about our kitten’s past. They are just so nice, friendly, professional and really made us feel like our kitten was in good hands…. and she was. It also looks clean which made me feel comfortable as well.
I am so happy we have such a nice vet located down the street from us. Photos after the vet, our kitten felt just fine even after getting her ears

Going to the vet is a chore for me. My dog absolutely hates the vet and has major anxiety. I called this morning to confirm my appointment and the receptionist tells me that they have no record of me making an appointment but they can fit me in at 3pm. No problem, it worked out. I get there and I am checked in and we see the vet around 3:20pm. A vet tech takes us back and has no record of why we are having the appointment so I have to explain everything going on with my dog again. Yesterday was my first visit with my dog and they couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. My dog is anxious and not well socialized (always a work in progress), so vet trips are extra stressful for him, but everyone in the office was very understanding and welcoming and tried to make it more of an experience where he felt safe. They follow up with their patients and genuinely cared. I’m very impressed with this Veterinary Hospital and am glad they could get me an appointment so soon.

I have nothing but great things to say about VBVH. Dr. Baker took on seeing Jack over two years ago shortly after I rescued him. He came in with a nagging cough and the diagnosis ended up being COPD. Throughout… the time when Dr. Baker was trying to determine the diagnosis, he was thorough in examining everything about Jack's symptoms. Once the diagnosis was pinpointed, Dr. Baker showed so much concern and care and walked me through necessary treatment procedures. We LOVE VB Vet Hospital and Dr. Morris. We bring our dogs Bailey and Brady there. They are Very efficient, loving and truly care. Cost is very affordable. Dr. Morris and his entire team are more than exceptional! He definitely saved my dog’s life and the team continuously went above and beyond to ensure my dog was taken care of; giving me peace of mind that she was in great hands. I just had my first visit with them today. My oldest dog had been having some chronic issues. They were so attentive and helpful, everyone was in such a good mood and just so sweet. The vet spent about 20-30 minutes with me in the exam room talking about options, and evaluating her entire medical history as well as the problem I brought her in for. Everyone from front desk staff to vet techs to the vet himself were truly just wonderful, helpful people. They were so sweet to my dog and could see how nervous she was, and kept trying to calm her down and make her comfortable. They got me in quickly

Dr. Baker is patient, kind, fair, and honest. You can certainly tell he’s in this for the pure love of animals. I’m extremely picky on who provides care to my pets and gave him my most difficult patient to start, my working GSD. She can be quite the lunatic and Dr. Baker described her as “lovely!” Finding vets that love crazy GSDs are hard to find.… I’ll happily bring him either one of my two anytime! This is amazing veterinary care. All of the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The doctors and techs take awesome care of my pets and answer all of my questions thoroughly (and I ask a lot of questions). Just moved to Chic's Beach and VBVH was recommended by family friends. My French Bulldogs' first appointment went amazing. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Dr. Morris is great!!!
