I have always been worried to go to another dentist as I have only ever been to the one I’ve been going to since I was a kid but when I moved to San Diego a friend recommended this office. All I can say is that my expectations have been blown away! I only have the most amazing things to say about them. They make me feel like I have been part of their office for years. Highly highly highly recommend this place! They are the best.

I've been coming to this office for 7 years now and I plan to keep coming as long as I live in SD. Dr. Ortega is a genius and changed my whole smile. He's a perfectionist which is what everyone should want. He's thorough with his plans and explains in a way we can understand. My dental hygienists is just as informed and amazing,

I feel that I was very lucky to have been referred to Dr. Ortega by my tax preparer. He was very kind and professional. Also, his receptionist, Julie was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. But most of all the work that he performed on my teeth, which was to place permanent crowns on all of my teeth was immaculate!

I recently acquired new insurance through my job and I knew both I and my son were due for a dental appointment. Nobody really discusses who they use for their dentist so I was left to find one on my own, scary right? Only because you never know who you'll be dealing with or what you'll be getting into. All folks in the office were very friendly and knowledgeable, so I want to make that clear first. That being said, I witnessed several dangerous violations of COVID-19 protocol during my only 2 interactions with this office. Had I known that this office was not fully following guidelines, I would not personally have made the choice to go here as a new patient, so I'm writing this in case anyone else is in that same boat so you can make a choice more suited to your level of comfort in dealing with this virus.

I was the kid that wouldn't open her mouth at the dentist. A very rough experience with a stubborn tooth extraction happened when I was 7. From that day on, I didn't care if I wasn't polite or nice. I was afraid. With age, learned to tough it out. Then I found Dr. Marcos Ortega. After 20+ years with Dr. Ortega and staff, I am can honestly say I am calm and relaxed before and after every procedure. Everyone is extremely gentle and responsive- And if I can't be relaxed on my own, then there is always the magic of sleep dentistry! I have referred many friends and family members

Validated parking, coffee and tea while you wait in a beautiful, modern facility, text reminders, extra sweet and empathetic staff, TVs mounted to the ceiling and you get a remote to drive, headphones to cancel out scary sounds and concentrate on Colbert, and for a mere $30 extra they'll numb your mouth even for the simplest cleaning. They really want you coming back. And

Great experience at Dr Ortega's! It was my first time visiting and I was really impressed with how nice the entire staff is. I was only scheduled for an exam but my hygienist, Isabelle, stayed late so we could… also do a cleaning. My teeth feel great and I'll definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience at the dentist!!
