The Woods Cosmetic and Family Dentistry is a hometown dental practice located in State College, PA, specializing in comprehensive dentistry for the entire family. Our practice places a premium on excellent service, quality care and patient convenience. With an emphasis on lifetime preventative care in Port Matilda, PA, we offer a full range of dental services to meet the individual needs and preferences of each patient.
Fillings can fix minor imperfections, including minimal amounts of decay and small cracks in the teeth. Our tooth colored fillings, called composites, are made of a space age resin, reinforced with glass quartz particles in a specific shape and size that mimics a tooth's physical properties. They look extremely natural.
Dr. Stetson is a State College native and attended the State College Area High School. He earned his BS in Life Sciences from Penn State in 2006. During his time at Temple, Dr. Stetson was a member of the Osseointegration Society, focusing on complex implant and restorative dentistry. Dr. Stetson looks forward to serving the community he calls home.
The dentist will perform a complete oral examination and discuss any treatment you may need. The examination can identify conditions such as tooth decay, periodontal disease, and even oral cancer. A cleaning may be performed during your first visit, or might be scheduled for a follow-up visit depending on the condition of your teeth and gums.

Dr. Stetson and the ladies in the office are wonderful! They have changed my life for the better. I've been ashamed of my teeth my entire life. Not only that, but I've been terrified of the dentist almost my entire life. I almost cried going into the office the first time because I was so afraid. It's a whole different story now! Now I can't wait until my dentist appointments! They did such an amazing job on my teeth! I'm so proud to smile now.

Dr. Stetson is simply amazing! I have had many dentists over the years and Jason is hands down THE BEST in PA! He is honest, knowledgeable and hilarious! I can say with certainty, I have never enjoyed going to the dentist more.
Dr. Stetson, Hannah and Dianna work fluently together and make dentistry a work of art. They are all remarkable, hard working, judicious humans. They're great with kids and have a magical way of alleviating any fears and anxieties.

I really wish I could give Dr. Stetson 6 starts instead of 5. It was by far the best dental experience I have ever had. Before visiting Dr. Stetson, I hadn't been to a dentist in an embarrassingly long time. His staff were all courteous, professional and nonjudgmental. I recently moved back to PA and a local dentist told me I had a concerning cavity that needed taken care. I wanted a second opinion, so my dad (who lives in State College) recommended his dentist, Dr. Stetson. I’m so happy he did, Dr Stetson and his staff are wonderful! As soon as I walked into their office they made me feel like a valued patient. They listened to my concerns and gave me a thorough exam. I live two hours away, but it’s well worth the travel for excellent dental care! I highly recommend The Woods Dentistry

First visit today; I was trying to find a dental office concentric to both home and work and had passed this office a few times. What a pleasant surprise this practice is! Dr. Stetson is totally engaging, and Diana and he play off each other with distracting banter. He lets you know what's happening through out the procedure and is very gentle while working. We also discussed a plan forward with a bridge that has some decay underneath (bummer). Proactively, he has already sketched out a plan forward with approximate costs. I'm sold on these folks!

I carefully chose The Woods after plenty of research into local dentists who accept Penn State's grad student insurance and I'm extremely satisfied with my choice. The facility is very nice and very clean, the staff was quite kind, and Dr. Stetson was fantastic. I felt very well taken care of and I'll certainly be returning as a regular. The office is upstairs after entering the front door beneath the large sign with the lions.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist...Not anymore!! Having never been seen before, I called yesterday for a dental issue and was scheduled for today. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel quite comfortable! Dr. Stetson discussed my treatment options with me, in terms anyone would understand, as well as fixed my problem. The entire appointment was as if I had been not only a patient, but friend for years! Needless to say, I scheduled other routine dental work before I left! Thank you so much for being so wonderful ❤️🦷

Dr. Jason Stetson is amazing. Me, my wife and 3year old son all had great experiences. He's very kind, fun, gentle and honest. My son loved it and continues to talk about how much fun he had with Dr. Jason! We have definitely found a great and trusted caretaker and friend. I would highly recommend Dr. Stetson. Plus the office is beautiful and Diana his main assistant is very nice and super helpful! I only wish I had more reasons to visit the dentist more frequently as my family enjoys his company and care so much.
