A transplant from the deep south, Chris now calls Las Vegas home. Chris attended college at Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia and then earned his law degree from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia. Before relocating to Nevada, Chris worked as a public defender where he handled all types of criminal cases from the simplest speeding tickets to the most complex cases including child cruelty and murder.

Chris Ford is a top notch attorney. I remember my consultation with Chris at the very beginning of what would be over a three year battle against my ex, and immediately knowing he was the attorney I wanted representing me. Chris was very compassionate with my situation, because difficult is an understatement of dealing with my case, but also a no BS person when it came to handling everything. I retained Chris Ford based on personal recommendation. His and his office's service was underwhelming. It was at best average, at more than average cost. Chris was very difficult to get a hold of, and it would take days for him to get back. At times, weeks would go by and I had no idea what went on, yet they were quite good at sending bills. When I'd finally manage to sit down, he seemed unprepared, lacking major data on the case. After 6 months of dragging around, I retained another attorney and case was over in a few weeks.

I hired Mr. Matthew Friedman to handle my divorce case.
Mr. Friedman charged me to have his retained subconsultant (property appraiser) revise and redistribute the property appraisal, which contained numerous errors. I was not consulted nor was I a part of Mr. Freidman selecting this subconsultant.
Friedman constantly missed deadlines imposed by the court and then charges me to "fix" the problems he created.
In a conference call, Friedman asks me my opinion, then shuts me off and begins to tell HIS story.
I ask him if he wants to hear my opinion or if he wants to dictate my opinion

If I could give this attorney negative 1000 stars I would. I went to Matt Friedman based on a referral . My retainer was $7500. Hourly $450. He promised me the world, charged me the universe and did absolutely NOTHING! If you want massive details message me. This guy is a money succubus! When my ex husband took me back to court after 4 years, I turned to Christopher Ford to guide me through the ordeal. I was terrified of how long and how stressful the whole process would be. I was referred by a friend in town to Matt Friedman who appeared to be a great choice and retained him Wednesday evening. I decided to retain a less expensive lawyer early this morning (Friday) and asked for a refund of my retainer ($7500). The firm charged me $800 in 1 day with $680 of it to "review entirety of case history and client documents to prepare for client affidavit on 5/31".
It was only 4 simple court pages I personally filed for child custody and they charged 1.7 hours at $400 per hour= $680??! And what case history? Everything was told during my free consultation and that

Had a few hiccups throughout the process, mostly towards the end. However, I was able to talk directly to Matt recently and all issues were talked about and resolved. I appreciated the call back and understanding from both sides! If I ever get divorced again, Matt will be the first person I call. Fingers crossed!
