While the office exterior looks grungy, that is not a big problem. Because that is just how South Phoenix is. I am also not worried much about how they cancelled my appointment twice, with less than a day's notice, even though I scheduled it weeks in advance. Because that's how doctors are: if THEY are late/miss that is fine, but if WE are late/miss we get charged, and we just let this happen.
My biggest complain, however, is that they lied to me to charge extra for the periodontal cleaning (not fully covered, and you pay partly out of pocket), even though I only needed the regular 6-month cleaning

Update: Look at the owners/doctors response below: This shows you he DOESN'T CARE. Why would you ever want your customers to feel taken advantage of, hurt, or mislead. Instead of calling me or telling me to contact the office first thing in the morning to resolve this matter, I was dismissed and told good luck. I was charged a $100 fee after the receptionist gave me a wrong time for my upcoming appointment so I missed the appointment. I’ve never heard of a place charging clients, especially a dental office a $100 fee for a missed appointment!

The receptionist and the office manager severely lack proper communication skills, and I was dismissed as a patient and kicked off of the insurance for questioning the manager about why my total amount due kept being increased up to $1,500 more than SHE originally told me. She offered no explanation other than “personal preference”.

I don't usually leave reviews but here it goes... I just left this office and it was a big waste of my time. Everybody is really nice but the service seemed poor. I went in for a cleaning and I was there for 2 hours just to walk out with no cleaning done. If I had not asked about my cleaning while I was sitting in the chair I would have probably been there for 3 hours without a clue until they had time to go over the plan with me. The way they work is you get an exam and consult if you are new patient. Then they go over the plan of action and schedule you for another day to come back. Feedback

I’ve been going here for a few months getting A LOT of work done. I have been to MANY dentists before and I must say I am so happy and trust this team so much. They recognize me now, have accommodated with things happening covid wise etc. I will be finishing all my work here and keeping my Cleaning’s with them. I have never been so happy with an office before and I have lived many places being an Army Veteran and been to many dentists. Thank you and your team so much for being so amazing! Albright Dental clinic is awesome. Dr Jacobson is friendly and so is the entire staff. Kyle, the denture tech, was great. The place is clean and social distancing standards were maintained and temperatures taken before you were allowed in.
The hard reline is about a 24 - 48 hr turnaround for those denture wearers reading this review

I've been going to Albright since 2014 and they have taken care of me from the get-go. As a recent college graduate at the time and oral care weren't of much importance growing up, my lack of care built up over the years. With over $2, 500 worth of work, how was I going to afford that, let alone endure the untrained oral pain? Dr. Jakobsen and his team not only worked with me to make payments but also made sure each appointment was as painless as possible.
Since then, I have moved multiple times throughout Phoenix and currently reside in Tucson and I still make the trip for every appointment!

My husnand and I had an awful experince at this place. PLEASE AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. My husband and I scheduled an appointment here in December 2016 because We had an HMO plan and this was the default place. We wanted to do our annual cleaning/ check up before the end of the year, and we didn’t have time to research a decent office.Gosh, how much I regretted making that decision and here is why:

I have hated going to the dentist but since I started coming to Albright my perspective definitely changed. I have not had any consistency like that with a dentist office before. The office is located in South Phoenix and is convenient for me since I live a 5 min drive away. When you walk in there is lots of seating, coffee area and literature to read while you wait. Wendy, the receptionist will greet you. She is polite and makes sure to accommodate me due to my busy work schedule. Whenever I ask if she can call me back if anyone cancels she does which not many offices do.

I'm not sure what the others have said to be true. I visited many dental offices in Phoenix to have MAJOR work done. After being bent over by many other dentist this is the only place where prices were reasonable and the dentist and his staff actually cared and explained things to me. I would recommend Albright to anyone that is seeking a dentist that actually cares for his patients.

Kyle is amazing at putting you at ease. He's friendly and down to earth. Its also a bonus that he likes video games. =)
Dr. Jakobsen is absolutely amazing. I've never in my life been completely comfortable with a doctor before, much less a dentist, until I met him. He treats you like a person, not just a patient. He's kind and understanding and genuinely wants to help you. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate this man and the staff at Albright

The front desk receptionist is very nice......Sadly it pretty much stops there. Let me briefly explain. For basic dental work on an otherwise very healthy patient I imagine they would be great. However, if you have any type of moderately serious health issue,eespecially if it may affect dental health or ability to heal or reaction to invasive procedures, this is NOT the place for you. I came in with severe pain from 2 broken teeth and I have 4 rather serious autoimmune diseases.
