I have worked with Solo for over 10 years. I have used Solo as my property management firm, they managed my rental property, and did so in a extremely efficient and professional way. Their full service business model worked amazingly! Solo was amazing at communications between the tenants and myself. They were speedy on all fronts that required actions, and professional and transparent in their business practices.

Deborah is a pleasure to work with. She knows the city well and is practical and straightforward. She won't push you to do anything, but if you ask her for her opinion, she will give it to you directly and honestly.
I started looking to buy shortly before the pandemic shut everything down, and Deborah helped walk me through the market as it opened up again, went through its seasonal changes under the influence of COVID, and then I had an accepted offer shortly after fall began. Deborah was Incredible to work with. We had to handle the sale of our house from over 1,500 miles away. Deborah not only handled the marketing of the house but also coordinated all of the necessary repairs. She found great companies to take care the plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing and carpentry. I can’t believe how fortunate we were to find Deborah. For 11 years, Deborah Solo and her team have took great care of the house. Solo helped me managed a rental property in Center City for about 10 years. They did a great job! When I decided to put the home on the market the Solo team helped me to put together a selling strategy, priced it for the market and get the house ready. Deborah and Alex are professional and courteous and the apartment I rented was well maintained and in good working order. For the past couple years I have been renting an apartment managed by Solo Realty. Most of the units in my building are managed by a different company where I have heard various nonflattering stories of management. I have had no issues with Solo Realty in that regard. I have had 2 issues with the unit, including a broken air conditioner. They were quick when it came to sending someone to look at it. It needed to be replaced. They installed a new window unit while they were waiting on the order for a new one. It didn't take long to replace. They were also good at communicating this to me. The

Solo often did not respond to emails/work order requests, condescending in their tone (the only respectful/kind employee was Alex), significant maintenance issues, and the worst part were multiple violations of my lease on their part.
After my first couple months in the apartment, I figured out I was paying for my hot water when my lease stated landlord paid it- the hot water heater was supposed to be gas, but was instead electric.
During my last year, central air was installed in the building. Prior

SLUMLORD WARNING!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I've lived in one of their properties for five years now and for five years I've ask them to send a licensed contractor or plumber to address water and mold issue. The floor upstairs is caving in and the kitchen is falling apart. They keep sending jack laid handy men who don't know what they're doing, making the problems worse. Now they have the nerve to increase my rent. They paint the outside of the house to cover up all the messed up pipes and other major issues that should've been done before moving in the house. I have rented many places, from Philly, to Boston, to Maine, and never had a problem, but this place is the absolute WORST. Do not even consider renting from them. Deborah and the rest of the Solo Real Estate are the best! I was still pretty new to Philly when I moved here and now that I live so close to Center City I really feel like I am part of the action!
