Here at Newport Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentist's office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our staff is specially trained to provide not only the best care, but also the best overall experience for you and your child. All of our staff members are well trained in child psychology and filled with compassion and understanding. They love working with children of all ages. We will do everything that we can to ensure that your child has a good visit.
Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep. It is a very safe, effective technique to use for treating children's dental needs. The gas is mild, easily taken, then with normal breathing, it is quickly eliminated from the body.
My name is Dr. Sue Choi but our patients know me as Dr Sue. I believe that a lifetime of oral health begins with a positive and memorable experience with their dentist. I am a Diplomate (Board Certified) of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and have been in practice since 2006, graduating from one of the leading dental schools in the nation, at UCSF.

We are so happy that we made the switch to Dr. Sue. She is so skillful and professional. She immediately knew what to do to help with my daughter's tooth pain. The whole process from check-in to treatment was very efficient.
Staff were very friendly and hard working. The facility and equipment are very clean. All the staff are wearing N95+surgical masks and each surface was wiped down after each use. We definitely feel very safe during this covid time. I work in a hospital treating Covid patients, so I have very high standards regarding COVID precautions.

I googled to find new pediatric dentistry because I was not satisfied with previous dentistry.
Now I don't hear my kids screaming, we are very happy to meet Dr.Sue and her friendly staffs. Thank you for your awesome job.

I was referred to this clinic by a friend. I loved that there was no wait time, unlike my kids previous dental clinic. Everyone was friendly and smiling. Clinic was very clean. Kids loved the balloon tree and playing the Pac Man.
Dr Sue is very kind and knowledgeable. Hygienists were very gentle.
I appreciated that Dr. Sue did not push any unnecessary treatment and that she gave me options for treatment. My kids were very comfortable and they have been asking me about when can they go visit their dentist again.

I've been here a few days ago. I was looking for pediatric dentistry for my daughter since I'm new in this area. And I was so impressed with this dentistry! because it was a really nice place for my daughter to get care about her cavities. Even, I was able to feel Dr. Sue has had lots of experiences dealing with kids and their teeth because she was always nice to my daughter. Also, My little girl didn't even cry and felt so comfortable. I'm sure I would go for this dentistry as a new neighborhood. Thank you.
