Great food and phenomenal customer service.
I had to make a large catering order for a staff gathering. Within minutes of me submitting my online request, the restaurant called me to take my order.
On the night of the event, the receipt was lost, and my accounting team still needed to see an itemized receipt. I contacted the restaurant via their online form again, and very quickly they sent me an email with photos of the itemized invoice.
Everyone loved the food (and unfortunately I was not in attendance to enjoy it) - but the customer service was above and beyond. They were so attentive to

This place exceeded expectations. I was actually in the plaza hoping to get some pizza when I saw the Roman Candle at that location was closed, so I thought why not try some Indian food since this place was right there. So points for location, not quite downtown, but not too out of the way. Now, I'm not big into Indian food, so this felt like a leap of faith here. There was no indoor dining, which was fine (these are the times, ya know), they have a big menu and they took my order pretty quickly and gave me an accurate wait time. Sure enough, after about 10 minutes, I got my medium-spicy Chicken

Food is good, taste good, lamb here js better than the chicken, personally I feel dhaba Indian bisco is better. However, this is closer to me. The reason I give it 3 star though is just I felt ridiculous to pay 5 dollars for additional rice.

First time having quality Indian. Prices aren't horrible for how much it yields. I have noticed somewhat significant flavor differences between mild and medium; it seems the spicier it is the more flavor there is (no, that doesn't just mean more spicy). Highly reccomend garlic Naan.

I eat there weekly. It's not just the best Indian food in Madison, it's some of the best food period. Excellent service, clean, sooooo tasty, and just spicy enough. LOVE this place. They have another location on McKee and Seminole too!

First time here. Dining area and buffet is closed due to Covid. However, ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala in medium spice level, garlic Naan, and a mango drink. The meal was so tasty, large amount of chicken, and rice was perfectly cooked (nice and fluffy!). The sauce was so good and not spicy at all. The garlic naan was delicious with a slight flavor of real garlic! The mango drink was a thick, smoothie consistency, and very good. I would order everything again with no hesitation! Will definitely be back!

Taste of India is my favorite Indian restaurant in Madison. The food is always delicious, and the staff members are friendly and attentive. The buffet is closed right now due to COVID, but I look forward to when it reopens. The selection of vegetarian items is great.

My go to for a quick take out meal of chicken tikka marsala, garlic naan, and goat curry (my new fave since staff recommended it). They also throw in some chutney to add to your curries for even more flavor!

For over six years I'd been thinking my favorite food was Baingan Bharta. Turns out I'm just ignorant, and my favorite food is actually *Taste of India's* Baingan Bharta. I've ordered the fire-roasted eggplant from every Indian restaurant I've visited in both Madison and Los Angeles, and no version I've tasted has ever come close to the version Taste of India does. They use real, whole sticks of cinnamon to spice it; it's sweet and savory and seems slooow-cooked; it has the perfect amount of fire to it (at level 4 spicy); and what probably helps is the cream I

Best Indian food around the Madison area. Great flavors overall. I would definitely recommend Paneer Masala and Dal Tadka if you're vegetarian. I will surely visit again!

I loved my chicken tikka masala tonight! I had it as a carry out and it was still hot and delicious when I got home 20 minutes later. I've never been there before but was in the neighborhood.
Yum. Highly recommend.

The tikka masala was marginal and for the price, it had very little chicken in the sauce. It's a restaurant in our neighborhood that we've tried several times over the years with the same 'meh' reaction. I want to support local businesses but just can't do it in this case.

As far as consistently strong Indian buffet experiences go, Taste of India takes the cake in Madison. While many buffets focus on quantity, here you will find fewer things that are better quality.

In particular, the protein/meat offerings here tend to be much better and more reliable than many of the larger Indian buffet places.

The service is always good, the location benefits from being on Monroe street, and the restaurant itself is cozy.

I really like Taste of India. I have always had buffet here. There aren't too many items, which is good. But whatever they have is always of good quality. This is one of my favorite Indian buffet joints in Madison.

Small place, 3 other tables at 6pm. I went with my sister sam.

Papadams: 8.5/10

Sauces:
Tamarind 9/10
Curried onions(?): 7/10
Cilantro stuff: 4/10
Mango chutney was too strong

Chicken pakora: 8/10

Chicken tikka masala:
Me 9.8/10
Sam 8.5-9/10
Not sure what the flavor was but the tikka had an unknown flavor, like cheese almost it was very overpowering.

Garlic Naan bread: 8/10 preferred to be more buttery otherwise almost perfect.

Rice wasnt amazing but wasnt bad, could've been seasoned better, otherwise good.

Overall would come back.
8/10 for the whole restaurant very good service

Went for the lunch buffet and was blown away! They have so many vegetarian and gluten free options, and the food was so tasty and flavorful! After lunch I helped myself to some of the heavenly deserts: rice pudding and fresh mango ice cream. To die for! Highly recommend this place when in Madison.

Great Indian food in the Monroe St neighborhood. This is our favorite spot in all of Madison, and it just so happens we live just a few blocks down the street. Naturally, we make it here every week. The standard fare of Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan are consistently delicious. We even have a tradition of coming here on Christmas Day when nothing else is open and enjoy their lunch buffet, which is also awesome if you happen to be shopping for a lunch spot. Service is always prompt and courteous. Really love having these guys in the neighborhood!

The lunch buffet is a steal for $10 (or $9 if you're paying in cash - they offer a 10% discount).

We stopped in shortly after the opened on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is on the small side, but inviting and laid out in a way that the cold winter wind doesn't sweep into the dining room with every person that comes in.

We were quickly greeted, seated, and had drink orders taken, then invited to help ourselves to the buffet. Counting desserts, there were around 15 or so dishes to sample. Everything was hot, fresh, and restocked quickly.

Naan: simple, delicious. There was also

Absolutely the best Indian food in Madison- we have been eating regularly at the buffet and during their regular dinner hours. They always have a couple vegan options and are super accommodating for #vegan folks! Their Chana masala and other curries are so tasty and fairly priced.
Super tasty delicious Indian food and super friendly service, always a must stop in Madison for us!
They're take out is equally delicious and fairly priced.
Clean facilities and attentive staff!

One of the best Indian restaurants in Madison! Buffet is always hot and full, with food rotating on a daily basis. Great price for lunch buffet. Service is excellent, super nice servers. Drinks are always refilled on time. Love the samoosas, naan, tikka masala, goat curry, and biryani rice. Everything taste great! Try the fried naan! Mango ice cream is pretty good, creamy and smooth. Try the mango milkshake. They offer dinner specials. The menu includes northern and southern Indian plates. Also, they have some beers from India.

The good: The food is amazing. Nice variety and amazing buffet. The waitress was very nice and sweet and helped us out a lot.

The bad: the customer service is the worst. There is a man that is at the register I think his name is rinku or something. This dude is filled with so much attitude. Doesn't know how to greet people. I asked him a question about the food to see if they catered my dietary needs and he said no we don't but go to another restaurant. I told him that I will still see if there are some options available here because we were traveling and this was our first stop after
