We have been with Checkpoint Motors for a while now. We used to live in Oregon City so it was very close for us. We have now moved to Portland so its farther away but we dont want to leave them. They are very professional and friendly. We have 3 vehicles we take to them for everything so they know us quite well. We always feel like we are a priority and that we are great service

I just had my radiator flush by different company. My car sprung a leak. Checkpoint found the leak. Sad part it was my head gasket leaking. My car is a 1997. With over 200,000 miles. Instead of trying to have me pay probably over$2,000 to fix. I was advised to go to auto store and buy gasket leak fix. I spent $6.53. I don't have a leak at this moment. No it won't fix it long term. It will let me go to work and save up for new car. I am very grateful.

Jake was able to get me in for electrical repair for my suburban and trailer. It works great now! Perfect! Gordon is great for questions and is very knowledgeable about everything cars and trucks. Anything with wheels really. The job was finished a day later than expected because one of the mechanics injured his knee. We didn’t need it quickly so that was fine. They communicate with us all the time and let us know what is going on. Been going there for probably 25-30 years. James is awesome. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

They performed an overall assessment of repairs needed for a 2002 Cadillac that had been parked for several years. They needed to get the vehicle started as I requested, and replaced the battery to accomplish that. They communicated with me regularly the status of the assessment and what was needed and the estimated cost to complete the repairs and asked me if I wanted them to continue. They were thorough, efficient, friendly and very knowledgeable. I will definitely use them again for any auto repairs I may need. I own a local business in Oregon City and have been bringing all my 11 vehicles here for years. I have several work trucks and even classic cars. We have rebuilt engines, replaced 1972 dashboards, and everything else 11 cars need over the years. All the employees are knowledgeable and have great communication skills. They always ask before they do any work and stand by their work if there's an issue.

The actual final cost was a lot more than the estimate. they tried to get me to do more than what I came there to get done and charged me for for looking at the whole care when i knew the problem. If u dont know the price if labor and parts they'll try and sneak some extra $$. I paid way to much for a single gasket

This is an honest shop you can feel good about taking your car to. I was having some really tough to diagnose problems with my Mustang, and after a repair that didn't fix the issue, they took the car back and fixed the problem for a VERY fair price. The car is running great, and they've got my business as long as I live in the area.

We were really impressed with the speedy service, the reasonable prices and the open and honest communication. We will definitely use these guys again. One note, we ended up calling them when they said they would call us, but honestly no big deal because car was fixed in a day at half the price of what we worried we might have to spend.

I cannot say enough about Checkpoint Motors. As a woman, I have for many years dealt with shady and less than honest auto repair shops. but I have had nothing but great experiences with them. Angie, their office manager, is the absolute best, and communicates with you at every point of the repair process. Although I live in Southern California, my daughters live in Oregon, and they take their cars to Checkpoint and we have never had anything other than a five star experience. I would literally put my life in their hands, which in fact I do with my youngest daughter, as they care for and repair
