This was my first time at Johan's Joe. I've passed it many times, and have been curious to stop by - and finally made time to do so. I am so glad I did! It is a new local favorite for me. I had the latte macchiato (flavored with caramel) and the savory crepes (with chicken). I'm picky with coffee, but I really enjoyed the one I ordered - & I love their selection!! They have a great food menu as well. The savory crepes were very good - and to my surprise, it came with a small salad (which was also very good). I'm not sure what kind of dressing they used, but I will

I only had coffee. I always drink regular coffee without sugar or cream. It is a Swedish place and my first time drinking coffee there I felt it very strong. I like mid intensity coffee personally with a sweeter notes like Colombian and Brazilian coffee. The environment is beautiful and very comfortable. Just based on my our taste the experience was fun.

Clean, beautifully decorated coffee house and cafe. Had a turkey sandwich on muesli bread that was simply delicious. The turkey tasted homemade and was very tender, just the right amount of lingonberry on it. An oasis. Definitely going back.

We came not knowing what to expect. We left knowing that this was one of the best meals we've had. Period. There were 4 of us and we each ordered something different: Swedish Meatballs, Chicken Shnitzel, an authentic veal burger (it is NOT a hamburger), and a shrimp crepes. Each dish was phenomenal. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

To my knowledge the Treasure Coast has no Swedish restaurants. I had to travel a little shy under an hour to downtown West Palm Beach to get my fix of Swedish cuisine. Parking was easy. When you walk in, the atmosphere is swanky, and definitely Swedish decor..very Scandinavian.
I ordered the Swedish meatballs from the lunch menu. It consists of beef and pork hand rolled meatballs, cucumber salad, mashed potatoes, herbed cream sauce and wild Lingonberries. The meatballs were delicious, moist and seasoned to perfection. I was served 8 of them, so they did well on the quantity of meat portion and

First time here, and I've wanted to come for awhile. Well worth it. Beautiful atmosphere, super clean, eat inside or out. Super cushy chairs and couches inside. And the food is superb! I had the Swedish Pancakes and my husband had the Vasa. We had coffee too. There is quite the selection! The menu isn't huge, but you'll still have a hard time deciding! We also brought home some pastries. There's a whole case of goodies to tempt your taste buds. The people are wonderful and can't wait to go again!

Haven’t even eaten our breakfast yet and the Budapest Roll is a portal to flavors that I didn’t know were missing in my experience of life.
Tears of joy at breakfast.

Hands down one of the go-to places in WPB downtown. The concept is order at the front and they bring your food/drinks.
They have wine nights with pairings with food so be on the lookout; massive bakery that creates all day; breakfast lunch and dinner dishes; and special rotating dishes.
Of all the meals I’ve gotten, I’m left wanting to go back for more.

Great place for a quick bite or cup of coffee. There is a nice, covered outdoor seating area as well as cozy indoor seating. The savory crepes were just the right amount of cheese with lots of fresh spinach. The lingonberries added the perfect amount of zing to the rich gravy of the meatballs. The dessert case is beautifully arranged with a wide variety of treats, plus there are take-home packaged items as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience!

Probably one of the most elegant and sophisticated coffee shops I've ever been to - Johan's is not only a treat for the eyes, but also for the stomach!

A business acquaintance recommended we meet at Johan's and what a great idea that was! To start the shop is spotless clean and has several areas to sit and enjoy a continental breakfast and socialize or work. The menu is full of tasty baked treats that are sure to please anyone. They offer a special of the day which I opted for and I can tell you the cake was delicious! All fresh baked and lots of great coffee and tea's to pick

In WPB for business and stopped by after searching for highly rated coffee on Yelp.
Everything I had was excellent. Some of the best espresso I've had anywhere and despite slightly cartoonish appearance, the desserts were exceptional in flavor and quality. The cream in my cake tasted like dairy, not margarine.
That the decor and ambience were also great was icing on the cake.
They apparently serve breakfast, lunch and wine as well.
I stopped by later to try their kale Cesar and it was one of the best I've had. The dressing was amazing.
I'll definitely be back!

Ingredients are fresh and tasty on the avocado toast. The oat milk latte delicious. However, I can't give this experience a 5 based on the attitude of the cashier. She was so incredibly rude to her coworkers for the 15 minutes myself and my assistant stood and waited. Another guest in the shop also commented on how uncomfortable it was. Take your internal problems to the back. She wouldn't even get the bear claw out of the case because it was the other person's job and he was clearly busy. She was standing there barking orders. Give dean and the barista a raise for putting up with

Johan's Joe in Downtown West Palm Beach is now open for dinner! Opted to try a few items to explore the new dinner menu

(1st Course) Rye Flatbread w/ Shrimp: That herbed creme fraiche spread is BOMB. I personally think they should bottle and sell it. Yes please!

(2nd Course) Pyttipanna Nordic Hash: I'm not a fan of mushrooms but it was very tasty! And the dish had bites of short rib, a poached egg, and roasted potatoes. What I like the most was a sweetness of the lingonberry sauce.

(2nd Course ... Part 2) Verlasso Salmon: The black currant glaze over the perfectly pan-seared salmon

Back in 2019 I spent some time in Sweden and came back craving their pastries, and was pleasantly surprised to find Johan's Joe in my search. It's a bright and airy space that not only offers a variety of freshly made meals, pastries and coffee, but they also sell popular Swedish snacks you'd normally only get in Sweden.

Most recently I tried their Drink of the Month which was a Dark Chocolate Cold Brew that was absolutely delicious. It was like drinking liquid chocolate but not *too* sweet. They should maybe look at having this be a permanent menu item because it was exceptional

I was shocked to see people sitting inside without masks on when we have more COVID cases than ever. It's a blatant disregard for our well-being.
On top of having to go inside to pick up my takeout order, it was wrong. I asked for "no avocado" in their online ordering system (it's a checkbox option, not like I wrote in a custom request) and they put avocado anyway. And this was after I had to wait 15 minutes because they supposedly didn't get my order.
