We trusted Hawkins Funeral Home to handle my Mother's services. Melanie was very patient, understanding, thorough, and compassionate... all the things you're looking for during such a sorrowful time. At first, I was skeptic thinking they would try to add on extras or say that they had to embalm my mother when we desired to have her creamated. Melanie was completely transparent and stuck to her word. Yes, she had to ask us to complete certain time-sensitive things, but she was skillful and professional in communicating with our family without adding any additional emotional stress.

Ed Gethers was the most professional and kindest person to work with in planning my father Leroy James going home ceremony. He took care of making sure that I hadn't forgotten anything that could have been overlooked. It was my first time planning a funeral and I don't think I could ask for a more pleasant funeral director. Also the parlor was very pleasant looking on the inside as well as the outside.
