A-1 Engineering
A-1 Engineering, LLC was formed in 2011 with the vision of providing Texans with non-biased and objective engineering services for their everyday projects and building inquiries. We recognized that the common property owner needed better information to help them with managing their properties. As we have grown, so have our services.

Understanding that drainage issues were having a significant impact to the performance of our clients properties, we added a civil drainage engineer to our team. Together, the civil and structural engineers collaborate on providing a more comprehensive assessment on factors that can be causing issues with your foundation.
Services
We believe that a property owner that is better informed and insightful in the performance of their buildings will better preserve the livability of their buildings for generations to come. A-1 Engineering, LLC was founded in 2011 with the focus of helping Texans better understand and manage their buildings.
A structural assessment is an opportunity for our engineers to visit your property and observe, note and discuss particular structural items that you are interested to learn more about. The Level A assessment is not intrusive; meaning that we do not cut holes in your concrete or walls.

Engineers tour the site to observe and note the condition of the interior and exterior of the building to better understand cracks and indicators that are consistent with foundation movement. With the aid of a digital monometer, we record relative elevation readings across the interior of the building.
Some walls are called load bearing walls; these walls support part of the structure, such as the roof structure, or second floor structure, etc. Since these walls are supporting the other parts of the structures, they are supporting walls, and what they support is the load from these other parts of the structure, hence the name load bearing walls.
As structural and civil engineers, we encounter multiple site conditions that require retaining walls. At times, its replacing a wall that has failed or is failing. Some new developments need retaining walls to shape the land. We specialize in designing retaining walls of various material shape and sizes.
Buying or selling a house or property requires a lot of research and understanding of the condition of the property to make the investment decision whether to buy it or how to price it. Your real estate professionals, agents and brokers all have valuable information and provide great guidance.

Structural engineers that help the real estate industry come across great information about properties that can also help you and your real estate team make the final decision.A-1 Engineering has been helping realtors, buyers, sellers and property managers across Austin and San Antonio since 2011.

I highly recommend this company if you are looking for an engineer to look at the structure and foundation of your home. Brandon was very informative and answered all my questions. I mainly went with this company because of Tracie Shaw. She was so welcoming and helpful when I called. She showed interest and cared about the property as if it was her own. Customer service is amazing! Highly recommend!

Have been waiting on drawings from them for over a month. They want payment for a revision, even though the revision was only needed because of a mistake they had made. They will not release the drawings to us without payment. They are also not returning our calls. I am trying to refinance my home, and cannot do so until drawings are released to us (and we can finish the work).

I hired this firm to evaluate a project. They took my money, and in return did come up with some basic drawings with the idea that it would be revisited once my architect had done his part. The project was shelved for a couple of years. I called recently and they confirmed that they had all of my data and the original engineer would be in contact with me. I followed up a short time later, nothing. It's very possible that they no longer want anything to do with my project, fine. It would be great to know that, instead of waiting for a call that clearly is not going to happen.

Don't bother reaching out to them. Their email bounced back and weeks later, I'm still waiting for someone to return my call. If they're no longer offering services, they should take their website down.

I got a quote from them for framing and foundation design. Told them I liked the quote and would like to proceed. They answered asking for my phone number so they could discuss further. I gave them my phone number, but never heard from them. I then spent the next five days trying to get in touch with someone over there. Half the time their phone rang and rang; no answer and no voicemail. They stopped answering e-mails. I finally got through to someone on the phone--after 5 days--and was told that my contact person was on the other line and would call me right back. Of course, she never

This review refers to the A-1 Engineering in San Antonio branch. Although the engineer gave some good advice, this company is so scared of being sued that the engineer that came to my house to do the foundation inspection doesn't even let you keep the paper on which he drew some stuff and wrote his recommendations. How can one remember everything that he said?
Like others have complained on the internet, you have to chase them for a written report. Although the written report was included in the fee, in my case, I didn't chase them & they never mailed it to me although they were

We paid $575 for a foundation inspection as we wanted to make sure that the house we are buying is ok. He spent less than 1 hour and told us everything is ok. When my husband asked questions, he answered "not sure" for several times. He told us that he would give us a report by Monday or Tuesday. We waited to Friday and no response. We called and left a message. We also entailed. No response. We called again and one gentleman told us that he does not know the status and he will ask the inspector guy to call us. No call. We need this report to close the house. Feeling like we just wasted
