When we opened our doors in 2008, we aimed to provide an authentic food experience for the people of Louisville that let them savor the range of flavors that India has to offer. From the Mughal-influenced kitchens of the snowy north to the spices and vegetarian foods of the semi-arid south, our chefs aimed to create a menu that would have something to suit everyone's palette.
And we did exactly that! We are proud that our customers keep coming back to order their favorite dishes or to keep exploring the vast menu that we offer. We, at Bombay Grill, have loved every minute of this exciting journey and we aim to keep exceeding our patron's expectations when it comes to delicious and delectable Indian cuisine.

We really enjoyed our dinner here at Bombay Grill! First of all, their menu is huge, and they have an entire page of vegetarian meals (a lot of which could be made vegan). We got the Aloo Gobi and the Vegetable Jalfrezi, that were both made vegan for us. The spices were perfect and we both could not stop commenting on how good everything was. We each got some soup to start with, which was perfect for the cold evening and flavored very well. I feel like the prices here are great for the quality of food and service we received! The portions were also big enough that we had enough for leftovers! Definitely

We were told about this place so figures we would try it out and it was amazing. One of my favorite foods is Indian. Never short if favor and spices. If you don't like too spicy they ask you if how spicy on 1-6 scale. I got 3 and it was not very spicy at all. Everything we had was wonderful. A must go.

I was in Louisville, KY at the Corporate Office for a few weeks, Bombay Grill was my favorite restaurant there.
Service was truly exceptional. Food was amazing! Their Dal Tadka and Samosa are to die for! Their food is hearty with rich flavors and generous portions. The waiters didn't (what I call) "white person block" my request for super spicy food, it burned - burned amazingly like the heat of a thousand suns kissing my tongue - I was so happy.
The only bad thing about this restaurant is that I liked it better than Reno's (my hometown's) Indian restaurants and I

I'm so glad Bombay grill is still thriving because it's one of my favorite spots for indian food. It's tucked away in a little strip mall and worth checking it out. They offer a lunch buffet that's really awesome, and a regular menu as well. Everything I've had is good and the service is always fast and friendly. Spice level is 1-6 if you're not sure how spicy you'll like it, you can always ask for spicy sauce on the side so you can add a little or lot yourself. I like the heat so I always get 5-6 and it's great.

Awesome service! We had ordered lunch for pick up at 2:30 and were running late to get to the restaurant. My husband called and talked to the owner lady and she was very nice and polite and offered to stay for few minutes even after they were closed. We reached there around 2:45 pm (15 mts after their closing time) and the lady let my husband in, gave him a cup of tea (it was raining bad) and also offered hot idlis as well. Very Very nice place and great service and hospitality from the owners. The food was delicious and we carried it back home to WI and had it the next day as well. Would definitely

We got the samosa chat to split for and appetizer. It is like Indian styled nachos. Samosas cut up, then crunchy wafer, topped with spicy, sweet, salt, savory goodness. We got 3/6 heat. I could have gone up one more but my hubby was sweating.
The chana bhatura is one of the house specials and it is amazing too. The fluffy bread is huge and it reminds me of a fluffy donut without being sweet. Then you dip it into a yummy sauce with chick peas. I'm usually a meat eater but had a veggie meal and didn't feel like I missed out. I also got 3/6 in my meal. I wished I got 4 for a tiny bit more

Love this place!! The food is always consistently good and I enjoy trying new menu items. The Gobi 65 is a must order each time, perfect! My wife's favorite is the Saag paneer, loving that green. We also enjoy the chicken masala, and malai koftia, such a excellent tasting sauce with those light vegetable balls rolled in. My favorite part of this place is how well it delivers!! Perfect for family night sharing. My kids love the chicken strips too!!

My wife and I ordered dinner and we definitely selected a excellent restaurant. She ordered the Tandoori Chicken which included rice and a chickpea side dish. I ordered the Lamb Biryani with a spice level of 1. Both dishes are EXCELLENT! I'm already looking forward to the next order I place here. I also tried their mango chutney and now I'm mad for not eating here sooner. Do yourself a huge favor and place an order. I wish I could give them more stars because they deserve them.

The food was very tasty. Very classic Indian cuisine with very nice paratha.
It was pretty difficult to find a vegan dish here. The server had no clue what I was asking concerning "dairy". Though he was very nice and we did have a bit of a language barrier I didn't feel 100% confident eating knowing whether my food was vegan or not.
Ultimately I think it was, but with the first few bites I was quite hesitant.

We went during dinner hours right before it got busy. There was not a wait and we were seated promptly in a booth. Our server was very nice and informative. A friend recommended this place and were so glad we tried it. The food is very filling and honestly the chicken tikka masala could've been split between us with the naan if we wanted to haha. Needless to say, we ate it all. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and he ordered the chicken tikka (featured with the onion & bell peppers) with naan. For starters I usually can handle heat - I eat spicy like no other - but even

I'm never been disappointed when it comes to Bombay Grill!! Yesterday we did take out, and upped our spice level to 6 for our butter chicken. We had spring rolls as our appetizer and it was amazing. I miss actually dining out but it was comforting to know, that even as takeout, it was the best Indian food in Louisville, for me.

My husband and I had a great takeout experience with Bombay Grill. We don't get Indian food often so when we do, we want a little bit of everything. I got paneer butter masala, garlic naan, and gulab jamun for dessert. My husband got the chicken 65, chili garlic naan, mango lassi, and ice cream for dessert. Everything was incredible and our order was ready to go right when I got there and they even put the ice cream in a bag of ice for me so it stayed cold on the way home. This was also my first time having gulab jamun and I have really been missing out. Bombay Grill has online ordering, reasonable

Okay, so I've only had Indian food from one restaurant in Louisville because I can't bring myself to stray from Bombay Grill. Three items in particular keep me loyal
1. Onion Bhaji. Good portion size, never greasy, and seasoned perfectly.
2. The Mint Chutney- with my bhajis, with naan, with everything. It's called mint, but it's got the perfect cilantro/garlic/spicy flavor. I just wish they sold it as a side and as a larger portion.
3. Gobi 65 (in the indo chinese menu). It's fried cauliflower in some magic fluorescent spicy red sauce. My husband despises cauliflower

Bombay Grill has been my favorite Indian restaurant in town after my first time there. It's a little more casual than some other places, but the flavors are so much more amazing and more importantly, consistent. I typically don't get butter chicken, but my friend insisted I try his and it changed my life. They also have an amazing lunch buffet with a lot of variety for a great price.
I've given them a great review in the past, but recently I felt the need to write another. It's a difficult time for everyone right now, and being a physician who trained on the east coast

If you're looking for an Indian buffet in town, go here! Their selection is wonderful and the flavors are not tamed down like a lot of American Indian restaurants tend to cook - perfect amount of spicy (not overboard). My visit was very busy at lunchtime with a bunch of South Asian patrons, which I always take as a GOOD SIGN... seeing locals of the cuisine in any place means the cooks have it right! They also set an entire pitcher of water on your table - very nice so you aren't waiting around for a refill. Try their Manchurian if they have it out (they had vegetable Manchurian when I

The food was perfect! The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. It was our first time and we will definitely be back in the future! I like my food spicy and always get the hottest. I wasn't let down but next time I'll be asking for extra heat on top of #6 spice. Really looking forward to going during buffet hours to get a sampling of different dishes too!
Went back the next week (yesterday) and was just as great!!

The best Indian food in Louisville hands down. Try their lunch buffet if you are like me & don't really know what to order off the menu. The buffet changes daily but they always have a few specialty items that are daily staples. The guys here are super friendly & go out of their way to accommodate you. I go at least twice a month, you should also!
