Conkle Funeral Home has been providing funeral services in the Indianapolis area for over 95 years. Our first priory has always been to faithfully and safety serve each and every family that call on us in their time of need. We also care for the greater good, health, and well being of those in our community as a whole.
We can now announce that all restrictions on the number of people who may attend a funeral service or visitation have been lifted by Governor Eric Holcomb and Mayor Joe Hogsett. Masks are no longer required. However if you feel that you need to wear a mask you may do so. We thank all of you who have placed your trust in Conkle Funeral Home during these very difficult months.

Services
We believe that the success of any business requires dedication and professionalism. In funeral service, in particular, it also requires a great deal of kindness, compassion and attention to detail. You will find these qualities in each member of our staff. Put your trust in us to make this experience as comfortable as possible.
We understand that every family is different. Influences such as religious and cultural traditions, cost concerns and personal preferences make each funeral as unique as the person being honored. The following is an overview of the different types of services that we provide. Our funeral directors will discuss the many other options and details that make each of our services a personal, lasting tribute to your loved one.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

The whole staff from Les, Craig, Betty, Tommie and others were so kind to me and the unique situation that me and my partner shared. They did everything so well and were such caring, sensitive and helpful people. Your kindness and professionalism are much appreciated. John would be proud of the service and all you did for the family.

The only reason I give it one star is because Google won't let me give zero. These people PREY on the distraught, grieving and mourning. Go in with someone who can stand their ground and the wishes of the family- they told my mother (after losing her husband of 40 years) that "he would want a better (more expensive) funeral service and casket." AND the "included obituary" was mostly an AD for Conklin Funeral Homes in BIG, BOLD letters! They typed up what my mother wanted said about the passing of her husband, they showed it back to her for approval with NOTHING about the funeral home itself. Just

My family has used the services of Conkle Funeral Homes for years, and I've never had a complaint with how I've been treated. They've always been honest, up front, and have answered every question with compassion and professionalism. I do think the Speedway location has gotten a bit run down and could use a renovation. It still looks nice, but it's a bit dated.
