I am passionate about my work as an integrative holistic psychotherapist because it allows me the opportunity to help many incredible, resilient people reach their fullest potential. I am a firm believer that we are all capable of achieving incredible things in order to live our heart's desires. Often we get stuck and can no longer hear the truth that is within us.
How can therapy help me? A number of benefits are available from participating in therapy. Therapists can provide support, problem-solving skills, and enhanced coping strategies for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, unresolved childhood issues, grief, stress management, body image issues and creative blocks.
Transformative Awakenings helps you discover the ways in which you define yourself and the world you live in. We facilitate your exploration of the ways in which you identify yourself which most determine how you live - in ways that are both inhibiting and expansive. A goal of psychotherapy is to make conscious, and then work through, the inhibiting themes so you are less impacted by them.
In group therapy, Transformative Awakenings facilitates bringing your strengths and concerns into the here and now, to be explored interpersonally within the group.

For example, if a theme of "I am too shy" is a concern for you, Transformative Awakenings facilitates having you and the group explore how the shyness impacts everyone, what goes on within you and within the other group members that supports your shyness, and how the group can support you to be more assertive.The aim is for you to feel accepted for who you are as well as to be encouraged to take more risks within the safety of the group format.
Through the regular practice of Mindfulness Meditation, we can completely change our relationship to stressors while at the same time greatly reducing the adverse effects of chronic stress. Every time we sit to meditate we are actively supporting and promoting our own health and well-being in HEART, MIND, and BODY.
