Since opening its doors in 1997, Matthew's Restaurant in San Marco has been one of Northeast Florida's most distinctive restaurants. Chef Matthew Medure has set the standard in fine dining with his unique menu, impeccable service, and attention to every detail. Like all Medure establishments, Matthew's Restaurant features inspired cuisine using locally sourced ingredients as well as specialty fare from around the globe.
Matthew's offers two private dining spaces for intimate or corporate celebrations. The Wine Room seats up to 54 guests for a plated event and 75 guests for a cocktail-style reception. The Loft, located on the second floor, accommodates up to 16 guests for a seated dinner. To maximize your budget for a formal dinner, we recommend selecting from our innovative three and four-course menus.
The extensive wine list is hand-selected by our sommelier and Chef Matthew Medure with its depth and variety spanning the globe. Our staff is trained to suggest the perfect pairing to complement your menu and palate. Enjoy the best of the best at half the price. More than 200 of the wines in our cellar are half-priced every Monday at Matthew's Restaurant.

My boyfriend made reservations here for my 18th birthday. This is by far the nicest restaurant I have ever been to. The food is expensive, but you are paying for what you get. It was worth every penny. Everything that we ate was absolutely fantastic. We can’t wait to come back. James and David were amazing. I didn’t take any pictures, except one. The atmosphere was relaxing.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 1-year wedding anniversary at Matthew's Restaurant, and it was by far one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our server (Eve was her name, I think) was so knowledgeable about the dishes we chose, and she explained all the different elements that made our 4-course meal unique. Everything we ordered was perfectly delicious, but the light espresso martini and the diver scallops were to die for! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant, especially if you want a taste of the fine dining experience. Worth

Well any visit to Matthews never disappoints. Everything on the menu is beyond delicious, it is exquisite. The quaint San Marco restaurant is an edible fantasy come true I stumbled on years ago, it is my absolute favorite restaurant of all time! Wonderful wine selection, the service is superb, ambience is romantic and relaxing, it's not pretentious for fine dining and the chefs are world class! Love Matthews!

It was our first visit to Matthew's. You definitely need a reservation as with most fine dining places. Our waiter Bow was knowledgeable and attentive throughout our entire dining experience. The have an extensive list of wines and spirits to choose from. They offer a chefs tasting menu that you can order it consists of 6 dishes picked and created by the chef. The foie gra and the escargot were succulent. Every dish we had was delicious and fulfilling. Plan to definitely be back and enjoy others things on the menu. Highly recommend!

I finally get to try this mysterious restaurant!! Fabulous experience! This time we have a big party for private event so I am not able to try there regular menu, but whatever on the menu they are ALL delicious! The server Jeff is super polite and professional. There is a rumor saying this is the best restaurant in Jacksonville. Now I truly believe that! Definitely will be back!! Highly recommend!

Amazing David was our server, first ever fine dining experience! Got the 6 course tasting paired with wines. Worth every penny! Oysters were my least favorite the wine and scallop were amazing! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Also got the extra Wagyu beef option and that was delicious as well!
