Services
We require that every pet has a physical examination before any treatments will be administered. A thorough check up includes taking temperature and weight; examining the eyes, ears and skin; listening to the heart and lungs; and checking for dental disease. Further diagnostics, such as fecal checks, heartworm tests and other laboratory testings are also performed as needed.
Dr. Walker is a 1972 Graduate of Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. He has owned and operated a small animal clinic (practice limited to cats and dogs) for 35 years. He enjoys routine animal medicine and takes special interest in surgery and internal medicine. He is a gifted surgeon and has performed many knee and soft tissue surgeries throughout his entire career.

Dr Walker and his staff used to be one of the best in Rockwall, unfortunately over the past couple years it's hard to leave there with a bill under $300. He price gouges, doesn't allow you to buy your yearly heartworm prevention meds from a third party( PetMeds, Chewy, etc) like other vets do. His front desk staff is RUDE. Will not be going back any longer.

I chose to come in to get updated shots for our puppy who is one. We had previously boarded her here for about a week when going out of town. We got a call from the vet telling us about the examination of the dog. We had not had any personal interaction with this vet other than the front desk personnel to drop her off and pick her up. We felt that the vet was informative on the last visit. So we chose to go here again because of that.

I have gone to this vet for years and often considered changing, but stupidly never did. I will never go back after taking my 18 year old dog to be put down recently. I had called ahead to coordinate bringing her in. My son and I showed up and the person behind the counter came up. Through tears I told her that I had brought in Daisy. She cheerfully asked "what are we doing with her today". Are you kidding me? At this point I was supposed to pay so you don't have to do anything after except leave. My son and I were instead put directly in a room. They took Daisy right away

Dr. Walker has been doing this for 45 years, he really knows his stuff! I think some of these other reviewers are taking him the wrong way. He takes his time and thoroughly explains what is needed for your pet. He will even say," I am not trying to sell you something you don't need but here's why I think you need it." He is deeply thoughtful and all of his staff are very kind. I told them I am a nervous pet parent and they said "Don't worry, we will take care of him." They made me feel so calm and supported

Never going back again.
They way that they spoke to me the whole time was as if I was stupid and didn't know how to care for my animals. The whole time he's just talking at me. Giving my pamphlet after pamphlet on shots. Okay great. What I didn't know was when they took my dogs in the back, they were giving them all of these shots WITHOUT my consent or even telling me. They cut my dogs nails and made him bleed without telling me too. If they would of told me I would of asked them to please not cut his nails.
Then my significant other calls because I'm clearly upset that they

I'm so happy my pup is getting the care he needs. After taking him to Petsmart for years, I finally found a vet that took the time to diagnose him properly and explained everything, and saved me money. I think we are on the right track on getting him healthy. And the staff is SO nice and caring! I learned more in an hour than I ever did in the 10 years of going to Banfield.
