I wish I could give this place zero stars. Management is very unprofessional and unresponsive. Their prices are way too high for the services they provide. They charged us almost $600 for the amenities during Covid when nothing was even open. They charged us for something in the apartment that the previous tenant installed. I could go on, but I am sure you get the point.

The Everly is an eclectic community of mixed age groups consisting of what I would describe to be short & long-term residents. Most of the older (50+) individuals are long-term due to downsizing from a house or because they've been here for many years prior to the recent new ownership. Short-term residents (I include myself in this lot) are just passing through and found a nice temporary community before deciding where to purchase a home. After living in Downtown-Jersey City for 14 years, I was attracted to this community due to the comfortable seclusion it offers, the nice courtyards, convenient

I've called Darshi, the management company representative, multiple times throughout the past two weeks and have yet been given a response. I've been waiting two weeks for the name and brand of the color of the paint CURRENTLY on our walls. According to them they can not give us the company name of the vendor because it is a "personal" associate. She continues to say that she will reach out, but has not heard back. I will edit my response, once I get the paint color.
6/21/20 I did get the paint color on this past Thursday. Other than this minor miscommunication, it has been a wonderful neighborhood

My 12 month lease ended at the end of March. I contacted the office via their website (contact now button) in Feb letting them know that I’m moving out at the end of my term. I didn’t hear anything back so I called the front office in early March to verify my cancellation. I spoke with an associate and she claimed she had not received my email. She have me another email address to message - I did, and I received a reply confirming my move out as April 1.
April 8th I receive an email that my rent is overdue and it’s going on my credit report. I call the office and no record of anything. Save

This is only referencing new ownership. Absolutely terrible. Uneducated and unqualified "managers" in the office. They are never available even during posted hours. Maintenence department is fantastic, but only after you get the lazy "managers" to give the Maintenence order. We have had multiple issues that were true emergencies, yet take 24 hours to get a response. If you track down Maintenence personnel on sight, they are truly shocked that they hadn't been given a work order yet. Everly is a joke. They are clueless.

I have lived in multiple apartment complexes in NJ before Everly and I have to say this is by far the worst one. Even the cheap $1200/mo 2 BR apartment in downtown New Brunswick I lived in during grad school was better than this place.
At Everly, the management is dismissive and rude. They will ignore your calls and e-mails and blow you off when you approach them in person. Sure, the renovated apartments look beautiful, but they are done so cheaply that things start to fall apart within 1-2 months. Our windows are covered in grime, the bathtub is chipping, and the flooring is starting to come

So far so good. Just moved in 2 weeks ago. From the process of viewing the apartments, signing of lease to move day...it all went seamless. The Management has been accommodating and responsive. We had a bit of mold in basement and they began to fix issue immediately. Very nice clean complex, lots of parking, quiet area. Beautiful landscape and pool I feel we will be happy here.

You will never find a worse team of amateurs. Since this development was taken over by a new mgmt company and renamed Everly in 2017, its staff has had constant turnover. Tenants are fleeing in droves. I've gotten rent invoices in the incorrect amount. They lost a check that I delivered in person so we agreed that they'd take my security deposit. But 3 weeks later they deposited my "lost" check without my knowledge. When I called they told me that a refund check would be issued the next week. Nothing, then someone else told me that the post office was slow and that it would

Happy resident for 2 1/2 years Pros Beautifully landscaped property in Roseland near 280 with access to mass transit New owners are slowly renovating property to compete with Avalon next door Dog are now allowed under new ownership Apts are spacious with new bath , kitchen and hard wood floors Cons My rent was increased for 2018 from 2.5% when Segal & Segal owned NobHill to 6% when Novell (managed by BCB Properties ) to 6% . That explains all the empty apts undergoing renovations. Lack of central ac (in wall ac are loud and inefficient) but you only use them 3 months of the year I thought since
