At G.A.I.M. Plan C & C, we strongly rely on Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused and other therapy approaches that focus on symptom reduction and problem solving. We assist clients by recognizing self-defeating and irrational beliefs that negatively influences client's life. We works actively and diligently with client in identifying, processing and altering core beliefs as necessary to bring about positive change/growth.
Certified Basketball Club (CBC) is a community/school-based program that primarily focuses on using psychoeducational techniques and sport strategies to empower at-risk youth by helping them develop resilience. We have found that more students lack resiliency and are in many ways dealing with misdirected entitlement.
We were blessed to have the Founder/Executive Director of Reflection Ministries, Lisa Bownds, speak to us last week about Human Trafficking. Thanks again Xylia Hidalgo and to our amazing club members for your vulnerability and openness! We learned about what's behind this addiction and how family members could help those fighting this disease.
