Services
On a calm, sunny day in March of 1948, two brothers, Oliver H. and James W. Edwards, opened the doors of Edwards Funeral Home, Inc. at 805 Nash Street East in Wilson, North Carolina. The brothers, encouraged by their parents and wives (Lola and Josephine), bought a two-story white frame house in East Wilson.
Our facility is located on the historic Nash Street which leads to downtown Wilson, NC and U.S. Hwy 58 N. We are accessible to U. S. Hwy 301, U. S Hwy 42, and Interstate 95. We are positioned to serve Wilson, Nash, Edgecombe, Pitt, Greene, Johnston, Wayne, and Wake Counties. However, our availability for service is statewide.
We have a price package to meet YOUR financial circumstance, and our desire is to serve you well at your time of need as well as when you are making future arrangements for yourselves or loved one with pre-need. You may also speak with us about transferring your pre-need to Edwards Funeral Home. Come by to talk with us or call to make an appointment.
We are daughters and relatives of World War II veterans; nieces of uncles who served in the Army, Marines, Navy, and Air Force, Coast Guard; and cousins and friends to those who currently serve and who have served in the United States military. Therefore, we have a deep appreciation for those courageous men and women.
With crises occurring daily, our nation's First Responders are on the front lines for all emergencies, crimes, disasters, and acts of terrorism. These brave men and women put their lives in harm's way for us each and every day, and we thank them. During the final tribute, Edwards Funeral Home takes pride in honoring them and recognizing their sacrifice and that of their families.
