Words can not describe how angry I am with this restaurant. We traveled hours to the hotel we were starving chose this place 45 mins they deliver a freezing cold over cooked cheese pizza, soggy as hell Buffalo chicken tenders that had way to much seasoning, a steak tip salad and a fry cost $69 and the food was disgusting. I didn't bother to call we chucked the food in the trash and went over to the Mexican place to eat instead. I wouldn't have fed that trash to my dog. If you are staying at any of the hotels in this area avoid this restaurant at all cost! Over priced and nasty.

The driver delivered a damaged shake cup, and the circular styrofoam bottom of the cup busted off and spilled the shake as I carried it inside. The driver left and when I called the store with the issue, the person on the phone insisted I must have dropped the cup (which I didn't) and refused a refund or a new shake.
When I asked to speak to the manager, the person on the phone said they'd have the manager call me back. 20 minutes later, I call again and the same person laughed at me on the phone, told me the manager wasn't working that night, and hung up as I was talking.

Ordered a Buffalo chicken calzone & fried mozzarella sticks. Delivery was great. The food arrived hot and it was delicious. I have been getting my Buffalo chicken calzone from another place that does not deliver. This was a better calzone and they deliver! Great job Cottage!

While the quality of the food was average (a small Italian and large buffalo chicken), the amount of food within the meal did not seem to justify the charged price. With no sides or drinks included, and average quality, there doesn't seem to be much to bring me back.

Was great fan of cottage if a little pricey. Was going to order tonight, then saw $3 delivery charge that does not go to the driver. I'm done with places gouging. Will order elsewhere tonight.

Every time we've been the food has been consistent and tasty and the service is wonderful. A great place to pick up a pizza or a quick dinner.

Really great pizza! The only reason I deducted a star, is because today we went down and got ice cream, and they crossed out the small size and said we couldn't have that. A medium is really big for a 3-year-old.

Pizza is a 5.2 out of 10. The tough crust is actually hard work to chew. Correct this crust issue and the pizza has potential to go to a 8 out of 10. Need to buy a better quality dough.

Ordered a steak tip salad and appetizer from here for the first time yesterday. Delivery was quick and the food was delicious. Steak was perfectly cooked and they gave generous portions. The Mango Habanero dipping sauce was amazing! Will be ordering again.

First time customer. Ordered 2 pizzas and both were Horrible! Crust was thin an very tough to chew. The meatball topping was minuscule and sparse. The vegetable toppings were burnt. Also the sauce and cheese was minimal. Definitely won't be returning.

The woman working the front desk and ice cream machine is super sweet and friendly, I loved her.
I also loved the history of this place and looking at the old photos and menus of the place on the walls.

I got a steak tips salad and the steak was done perfectly. Nothing special about the salad but nothing bad about it either. Their onion rings are also good. Their ice cream is definitely worth the stop though! They use hersheys brand for their ice cream. I got the coffee oreo and I would recommend this flavor. Their ice cream is really creamy and sticky - my favorite!

Worst customer service ever. We went in to order a pizza and were told by an unfriendly counter wench to go outside to order because we said we MIGHT get ice cream too. She wouldn't even take a pizza order to get it started while we thought about getting ice cream. The lady at the outside window said we needed to order pizza inside - all around terrible communication from them. I didn't even bother ordering because they made it impossible. After reading the negative reviews, I'm glad I didn't waste my money.

Wow. After hearing for years how awesome this place is, I went in for a try. Food was okay - standard fare, and the ice cream was a delicious treat following. I would totally consider going back were it not for the rude woman behind the counter. I don't need to go somewhere and be talked down to when I'm out for pizza. I actually paused thinking she might possibly be joking with me - yeah... no. This place has been around forever and seems to be a local favorite, but I'm surprised they've built a positive reputation with such horrible treatment of customers.

Poor customer service ruined it for me. You're charged more than what the menu says, and it does not say "prices subject to change" anywhere. When you point out this small issue, rather than fix it, they argue.

I recently discovered this place and became a regular because it's pretty decent food.

Stopped in on foot because they were open on new years Eve. Got a chicken tender pita 8$ and an 8$ order of broccoli bites.

On the way home the bottom of the bag tore and my broccoli hit the road. Wow. Really thin bags! Huge bummer, still the sandwich made it...

Got home, and the chicken tenders are overcooked and hard. Never again. Terrible.

Stopped in for an mid evening snack with my husband after a long day. The ice cream was delicious and the service was friendly! Located on Main St. In downtown Ayer, The Cottage gives all the good feels of a small town ice creamery. The space is spacious yet feels cozy. They also serve pizza and other food options as well. They even have a seating outside for you to take in the sights and sounds of the main drag whil enjoying the delicious ice cream. Hubby and I will definitely be back!

Nothing like a plate full of burnt chicken tenders to put this place on the Skip List.

Jalapeño poppers in the pic to show just how burnt the tenders are. It's not a fryer malfunction. Not an "off night." This is classic DGAF attitude.

Plenty of better places. Try Patriot pizza (that's where we usually go).

I love their buffalo chicken tenders! Those and the garden salad make my day! The owners are so friendly and personable. They deliver promptly! They remember my family's allergies when I call. What more can you ask for?
I've also had their delicious thin crust pizza.

Great steak & cheese, great chicken caesar, and delicious pizza. Service was quick and friendly. Nice location right in the middle of town. Stop in and say Hi!

I ordered a chicken Caesar Salad which was a garden salad with croutons and powdered parm cheese on top and burnt chicken fingers I also ordered a piece of haddock which says "Breaded and Fried" leading any reasonable person to think they bread and fry it unfortunately I was wrong the fish is bought beer battered and frozen. And has dark meat long john silver's is better and they don't overcook it.
