Services
Our team of dedicated physicians represents decades of medical experience, and has earned numerous honors and recognitions for excellence in the practice of ob-gyn medicine. In addition to serving the needs of our patients through all of life's stages, we specialize in the treatment and management of high risk pregnancy, infertility, fibroids, endometriosis, menopause, incontinence and more.
Pre-registration is convenient through our Phreesia patient portal, which can be utilized via cell or email. You will receive a notification a few days prior to your visit. When you arrive at our office, you will be greeted by our receptionist, who will request your insurance card in order to facilitate the billing process.
Pap smears allow us to look for abnormal cells on the cervix so we can catch and treat them before they become cancerous. A speculum, which is a smooth, duck-bill shaped instrument, is gently introduced into the vagina and gradually opened to allow your doctor to see your cervix. Cervical cells are obtained with a special, soft instrument.
A colposcopy is done when we need to further evaluate an abnormal pap smear. Your doctor places a speculum into the vagina and uses a large cotton swab to apply vinegar to your cervix. As we look through a specially-designed microscope equipped with a green light, the vinegar will cause abnormal areas on the cervix to "light up".
A myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove fibroids. Depending on the size and placement of the fibroids, the myomectomy can often be accomplished through the vagina with no incision. Minimally-invasive myomectomies can also be performed laparoscopically and robotically, which require small incisions through the abdomen.

I was scheduled for a new patient appointment with Dr. Harmon at 8:40am on 10/7/21. After waiting for a month to get this appt, I attempt to drive to the address that I had to find on Google since I never received an email with the address as the scheduler said I would. Once I got to the address where Google said the dr office was located I realized I had to be in the wrong place as I was on a side street full of industrial looking sheds. I had been calling the dr’s office number since 8:30am (they office hours say they open at 8:30), but the automated after hours voicemail kept answering saying

You have to pay to park. Dr. Melissa Counihan was dismissive and rude. She intentionally tested me for something I didn't want then did not test me for what I asked for. My husband could not believe the non-sense she was spewing during my visit. She said things that are just not true. She prescribed medication without knowing any of my medical history. Honestly I'm glad I saw the true her prior to getting too deep in the process. I'm very happy that I switched. I now have a doctor that took the time to read my records, ask me questions, not rush me and made me feel like he sincerely cares about

Love every Dr in this practice. I originally started with Dr. Dozier, she is extremely knowledgeable and has a calm personality which is needed in a high risk pregnancy. I switched to Roberts since Dozier would be out during the timeframe of my delivery. I love Dr. Roberts and his nurse so much, they are so friendly and make me very comfortable. I know I can ask anything and he will give an educated and well thought out answer. Dr. Matthew actually did my C-Section and she was also amazing and had excellent bedside manner and follow up after my son was born. Love this practice so much that I plan

I've been a patient of Dr Counihan's for a couple of years. During a recent event, she was very compassionate and caring. She provided the assurance I needed and called with updates when she said she would. My experience with Dr Counihan has been positive.

Dr. Counihan does not come across compassionate or caring. She does not explain medical conditions well. You can get more answers from the internet. I suggest bringing in a list of written questions because she won't offer any information. I also felt very rushed and like I was an inconvenience during appointments. I didn't feel as though she examined my breasts well during a well-woman visit when she knows I have breast cancer on both sides of my family. I wouldn't recommend her. She is nice but comes across lazy. I didn't feel she was thorough at all. I would not be comfortable having her as

I am a new patient and new to the city. Dr. Harmon was so pleasant and very helpful and knowledgeable. I like that she took time out to speak with me first and answer any of my questions. I was able to share my questions and concerns with her without feeling intimidated. I felt like I was talking to my friend who just happens to be an awesome OB/GYN. I highly recommend her.

After going through a recent miscarriage and dealing with a different doctors office, I was referred here by a friend. I've been twice so far this week and both times that I've gone the doctors and staff have surpassed my expectations. They are thorough, explain everything that's going on and everything they plan on doing and they actually follow up with you! I'm so impressed by them and so thankful to my friend for referring them!
