Raum Family Dentistry
If you are looking for a dentist who will do what is best for your teeth, not what is best for their schedule or pocketbook, then Raum Family Dentistry is the practice for you. Dr. Raum and his Staff are not looking to do a quick fix or expensive dental work - we are looking to build a long-term relationship with your whole family.

Maintaining proper function is top priority in our Practice. The cornerstone of our Practice is Prevention - preventing painful and expensive dental problems before they happen. The best way to catch things early is through regular Cleanings and X-Rays. Decay never gets better with time - it only gets costlier and more painful.
Services
When you are a patient at Raum Family Dentistry, you will always be treated with respect. You will always be presented all of your options and told the advantages and disadvantages of each option. We will never assume what treatment you can afford or would prefer. We make treatment recommendations based on what is best for your tooth or health - not based on what insurance may arbitrarily decide to cover.
We see all patients the first time for a Comprehensive Exam, XRays and Cleaning. At this initial appointment, we will evaluate the condition of your gums, teeth, bone, and soft tissues. We will look for evidence of Periodontal Disease (gum disease), decay, infection, oral cancer, and developmental abnormalities.
Dr. Raum has been providing dentistry to patients of Sumner and Trousdale Counties for over 15 years. Our offices are located in Lafayette, TN, and in Portland, TN. Our patients come from the towns of town1, town2, town3, and beyond. Call our office today to schedule an appointment at (615) 666-4865.
Raum Family Dentistry is pleased to partner with CareCredit, a division of GE Money Bank, to offer our patients the ability to pay for their treatment in installments, without the incurrence of interest charges. Learn about the history, services, and benefits of CareCredit through staff interviews and cardholder testimonials.
A dental filling is a type of restorative dentistry treatment used to repair minimal tooth fractures, tooth decay or otherwise damaged surfaces of the teeth. Dental filling materials, which include composite, porcelain and silver amalgam, may be used to even out tooth surfaces for better biting or chewing.

I have always had hard times at the dentist. When I went here I expected to have another rough time. However, I did not have any trouble at all. They staff are sweet and caring. They did my cleaning and then I returned for a cavity and crown to be replaced. The best visit with a dentist I have ever had. They were so gentle and work with you on everything. They make sure you are comfortable and check their work. The office is clean and they have a dog that helps patients like me that are nervous when going to the dentist. I highly recommend them for kids and adults. This is now my only dentist and

My daughter had an appointment so we went. They said if they had to pull any teeth they would call me back with her before they pulled any. I was never called back. She came out with a tooth pulled.
