As with all our Patients, Dr. Elder Personally Examines and Performs All Needed Treatment. After graduating from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry (San Francisco) I chose to return home to the South Bay. I decided against buying an existing dental practice but rather to start one from scratch.
I think my first patient was my Mom. We have grown over the last 27 years but we always welcome new patients. Let me tell you a little bit about my practice and philosophy. First of all, I think a doctor is a teacher. My job is to let you know what I know. I need to look at your teeth as if they were mine, or a close family member.

Hello, current and future patients, my name is Ouiza (Weza). I've been working for Dr. Elder for 19 years. I started as a dental assistant, then came back as a dental hygienist after graduating from west Los Angeles College in 2011. I have 24 years experience in the dental field, which includes a DDS degree from back home (Algeria).

Getting my teeth cleaned is more like spending time with friends. Ouiza is fantastic, so thorough! Dr. Elder is careful and thorough! My family has been going to this office since our move to CA six years ago. I highly recommend the entire staff - Heather and Norma answer all my questions and are wonderful. Choosing them has been a great decision for our family!

Dr. Elder and staff are the BEST! I've been seeing them for over 15+ yrs when I'm back in LA
Dr. Elder and Ouiza are HONEST and good at taking care of teeth.
Since I don't have dental insurance, I checked out a dentist who had a $69 new patient fee but wanted me to do over $2k+ of unnecessary dental work and discouraged a regular cleaning.
I went immediately back to Dr. Elder and Ouiza who cleaned my teeth and provided rationale why it was good enough. Even without insurance, these cleanings are more cost effective and 100% worth it.
Would highly recommend.

DR ELDER is Great. He is a very good Dentist. My friend was playing volleyball and had his front teeth knocked out ! Yes, knocked out ! He called Dr. Elder on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON and rushed over to Manhattan Beach.
He kept the teeth under his tongue and his friends drove.
Dr. Elder not only came on his day off he was able to REATTACH THE TOOTH.
To this day my friend has his own front teeth.
Dr. Elder is a very capable dentist and a straight shooter. He doesn't BS you or tries to sell you crap you don't need.
I trust him completely !!

Do NOT go to him. he really screwed up my root canal, left me in a tremendous amount of pain, over 20 xrays, got very mean and mad during the procedure, couldn't finish it then made me wait 2 weeks to go back just to sit in the chair for an hour while he stuck me with files, over and over again. i still am having problems with what he did back in AUG, it still hurts daily. BEWARE - STAY AWAY.

Everyone there is very friendly and helpful and they've never tried to push me into anything I didn't need. I've been going there since he opened and thanks to their helpful advice I haven't had a cavity since. Even though he's not part of my dental insurance group and costs extra it's definitely worth it for the level of dental care they provide.
