Services
Our veterinarians at PetVet Animal Health Center are all dedicated to their clients and patients. We strive to meet the needs of you and your pets every day. Our doctors each have areas of special interest that allow us to provide a wide range of medical and surgical services. They also participate in numerous continuing education conferences each year in order to bring you and your pets the most current knowledge and techniques.

With three of our veterinarians being Fear Free Certified Professionals, PetVet Animal Health Center has taken the fear free philosophy to heart. The certified staff at our Auburn practice use the tools they've gained from their certification training to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in each of our patients.
We work with both CareCredit and ScratchPay to offer payment options so that you can be sure your pet gets the care it needs at the time it is needed. Yes, Dr. Montgomery is a surgical specialist. He is a member of the Amercian College of Veterinary Surgeons and his primary focus is orthopedic surgery.
Every pet deserves to have their own unique pet wellness care to treat their individual needs. At PetVet Animal Health Center, we strive to do just that. Whether you have a newborn, adult, or senior pet, their needs are vastly different and discovering their unique care plan is our priority. Very pleased. The staff is so professional and even though they were very busy today, Dr. Speed was attentive and thorough, answering all my questions without making me feel rushed. This was our second visit after moving to Auburn and initially trying another vet. Like most animal owners, I'm very picky about who we see and I'm happy to say I know we've found the right vet. Highly recommend.

Hey guys so I took my cat to pet vet a few weeks ago for a cough (which she had for a while but my vet back home recommended I take her every 2 months to make sure everything’s okay) they gave me the horrible news that she had a horrible heart murmur??? And then did expensive tests and said she was fine. Then days later she got an eye infection, so I took her back kind of mad Bc I knew she contracted it there, spent another $700 on unreasonable testing and now her cough is worse and her eye still has not gotten better. I have been to many vets searching for what to do about my pet's reoccurring bladder stones and the process was most thorough here. I feel like a participant in the process and I get the genuine impression that they care for my dog similarly to how I care about my dog. So refreshing to have extensive dialog about biological processes occurring in my dog and really getting to the bottom of issues she has had. We haven't made it out of the tunnel with her issues yet but I feel much better putting my dog's bladder stone problems in Dr. Brawner's hands. I have spent money in many places for this issue

I am so thrilled with how kind, knowledgeable, available, affordable, etc etc this place is!! My fur baby is my world (as she should be) and I feel very comfortable with PetVet treating and taking care of her! I get emails regarding promotions, text messages when it's time for a check up/shot/etc, and texts letting me know she's ready to be picked up/weight/etc.. Nola (dog) loves going here, never shows anxiety when I drop her off or pick her up; which tells me SHE'S comfortable there as well. Cannot say enough positive about the staff here!!

They are sooo nice here. I lost my deaf cat for a little over 24 hours and brought her in here to get a checkup after finding her. I called them, very concerned, and they squeezed me in that day and were absolute angels! My cat hates the vet, and was growling and hissing but they never complained and handled her very well. I had Victoria and Dr. Speed, who are just angels!!

Love PetVet but unfortunately I had to change vets after the first year because it was getting too pricey for me :/ Wish they had a student discount or just a little cheaper prices haha because I absolutely loved going there and the care they gave my fur baby! The new location is beautiful and SO clean, literally the cleanest vet I've ever been to in my entire life. No dog hairs anywhere, is this place really a vet?!

Pros: Gorgeous, new, clean, modern, facility. Responsive staff, quick turn-around, no significant wait times, and excellent excellent facilities, and concern for your pets.
Cons: If money is no object then this is the place for you. Top of the line everything, but top of the line pricing.
Example: My pet needed a periodic dental exam, cleaning, and possible tooth extraction. The price for: anesthesia, antibiotics, cleaning, possible extraction, aftercare: ballpark $600.00
visited two other Vets, both in Opelika, exact same procedures: ballpark $150.00

Stopped by here on our way to Talladega when we realized that our little Maltese was having a problem chewing. The RV park we were staying in recommended this veterinary clinic. The staff was extremely friendly and got us in right away. The Doctor made us, and the dog, feel comfortable right away. He was very compassionate and knowledgeable and told us what the problem was. We left with some medication and a happier dog. If we lived here, this would most definitely be our regular Vet.

Dr. Brawner is an amazing, compassionate, and very competent vet. He took care of my cat during the worst crisis I had ever experienced with an animal - a sudden femoral head fracture. He patiently explained the options to me in great detail, including pricing, risks, and recovery expectations for each. He didn't pressure me to pick the most expensive option, but gave genuine advice. In the end, we elected to do a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) procedure which was performed skillfully and soon my kitty was back to running around the house like a crazyperson. My puppy just became a patient here, and I am so glad! Every single person we encountered was kind, energetic, and helpful! I will never go anywhere else for anything I need again. They even let me just come in so they could look at her incision after she was spayed so they could tell me if I could give her a bath. They are a group of wonderful people, and I am thankful to have found their practice!
