For Funeral Services that we provide during Phase II; we will be limiting public viewings to a "walk through."
Group gatherings will not be permitted in our facility during the time of public viewings. Our policy is that services will be conducted "privately" for family and close personal friends. During scheduled funerals, attendance will be limited to a maximum of one hundred (100) individuals, which includes family and close friends identified by the family.

Services
In August of 1914, Charles Albert "Doll" Haywood, Sr., Colonel James H. Young, and eight other investors came together and organized the Raleigh Undertaking Company. A horse-drawn hearse was the modern transportation of the day. Building upon the success of the Raleigh Undertaking Service, "Doll" renamed the business to the Raleigh Funeral Home, and added ambulance service to St. Agnes Hospital for $3.00 per trip.

Haywood has been a pillar in our community since before I was born and have provided services for my family frequently over the years, however it was recently that I experienced their superior service personally. I met with Sonya to discuss an outdated pre-paid insurance policy and preneed services. She was fast and efficient in getting an answer for any questions she could address. Little did I know, I would be back at her office two weeks later to make arrangements for my aunt. The funeral home honored everything discussed previously at the rates discussed, worked with me & my family for scheduling

In August of 2019, I had the misfortune to bury my father. My family was referred to the Haywood Funeral Home. Upon arrival, they were pleasant and considerate, and originally I felt at ease. When speaking about my father's remains, I expressed multiple times to the funeral director how important it was to our family that a portion be set aside for a keepsake. Over the phone several days before the service I, once again, confirmed that we would receive a portion of the ashes. On the day of his service, Haywood however, had not kept any ashes separate. I've used Haywood Funeral Home 3 times, to bury my mother , grand mother, and grand father, and the service is impeccable, these guys offer top level service, and have a very professional staff. When every I asked the staff to take care of a task its was done immediately. They go out of their way too accommodate their customers through a difficult time.
