Very affordable and a great meal. I purchased the Vegetable Lo Mein, Crab Rangood appetizer, and had both a coke and bottle of Sake i was easily able to share with my friend. Overall spent a VERY reasonable $28 before tipping.
The interior is beautifully designed and the staff is very nice. Great place to impress a date without breaking your bank!

Love this establishment! Servers are always super kind and attentive. The food is AMAZING and pricing is fair. I love everything on the menu. Definitely consider stopping by if you are in the area!

Consistency is critical in restaurants and Isamu has maintained pretty consistent quality since opening. Very efficient service and didn’t skip a beat transitioning to more takeout during Covid. Japanese and Chinese menu including great sushi and plenty of vegan options.

Decent sushi, but unreliable when ordering via delivery services. After placing an order via Uber Eats and waiting an hour and half, they cancelled my order without explanation.

I don't know who allows some people to review anything, but the sushi was delicious. Who comes here for the miso soup then complains? We also enjoyed the boneless ribs and dumplings. Just yummy. To put it simply, you choose to eat at a sushi spot, eat the damn sushi. It's fresh, flavorful and delicious. Some of you might need to have your taste buds checked. My almost 4 year old son loved it.

It's not ramen it's as they call a soup with chicken based broth. Veggies where fresh but raw... idky... I ordered both beef and duck and the duck was not on point like I've had in places that looked much... mm simple I guess to say the least and the beef reminded me of the beef served In the Chinese food joint at the local mall.

Lately I've been craving the basics, comfort foods, if you will. On that list would be piles of veggies (aka Buddha's Delight) and veggie sushi rolls. In fact that's almost all I've been eating for the past two weeks when eating in restaurants.

Isamu fit the bill a couple nights ago when seeking Asian comfort food. They have a booming takeout business and if I lived within 5 minutes, I would likely be taking out from here on the regular. The food and service exceeded my expectation and they charge half of the price compared to similar restaurants in long island. Highly recommend this place.

Just left the best dinner I've had in I don't know how long. The sushi was amazing and great portions. I also had the garlic chicken and vegetables which was fantastic. We ended dinner with the green tea mochi which was the perfect size to end the meal, amazing. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Our food came out quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

Consistently high quality meals, everytime! I have never had a bad meal here - all fish is quality and fresh. Take out is usually a 20 - 25 minute wait and ask for extra chopsticks if sharing a meal!

Bland food! I got the duck ramen with egg noodles and a salmon skin roll. The roll was okay, it wasn't really rolled well but the salmon was tasty. Unfortunately the ramen was the worst I've had at a restaurant. It was literally just watered down chicken broth, with no seasonings or salt. Really flavorless, and would not recommend, the duck was the only good part about the ramen! My husband got General Tso's chicken and it was also pretty bland and lacking in flavor. Probably won't come here again.

All these people leaving bad reviews are such a**holes. Isamu offers really good sushi for a non-major metro area. Don't be fooled by these d*ck reviews and eat sushi at Isamu.

Very solid sushi spot - really like their special rolls (rainbow is my fave). The sushi always tastes fresh and our order is always on time. Haven't dined in but they have cute outdoor seating!

Overall good experience. The food arrived promptly and was presented well. There was flavor in every bite and adequate amounts of sauce being brought regularly to the table. Staff was polite and worked fast. Good food, good prices. Nothing more could make this better.

If you're in town and crave for your usual favorite Japanese dishes, this is the place to go! I ordered miso soup, agedashi tofu and salmon special roll.l for dining in. It was a short wait, food was excellent quality and inexpensive. Only small tables are available for dining in, i recommend picking up if you're a large group.

So impressed by the quality and quantity of food here. Particularly appreciated the udon soup having the broth in a separate container so it wasn’t soggy when we ate it later. The unagi was especially delicious!
I meant to ask for an eco-friendly option. Didn’t need so much packaging (would have been fine with like items being combined) and certainly didn’t need silverware or napkins. Will ask next time, can’t wait to go back!

3 stars for the food, no stars for the device. Our server didn't acknowledge me and my cousin, didn't bring her appetizer, I had to ask another server about it, our soups had been ready and just sat at the ready bar for literally 20 mins she walked up to the soup bowls looked at then walked off, like really!!! I had to try and get her attention and flag her down just to ask for a soup bowls then she didn't even know what we were talking about asking what kind of soup bowls like really you took our order and you don't know what kind of soups we ordered I won't go back there

Food was delicious i was scared the food would be to spicy or not seasoned enough but it was fine and I absolutely love their Gyoza's ! They are my favorite. Staff is also very friendly too, i will continually go here

Smaller scale sushi spot tucked into Main Street of beacon. If you drive by too fast you might just miss it! Came in an on a weekend afternoon and brother and I were the first ones here. A little on the chilly side in the venue and it took until almost the finale of our meal to feel any heat so that takes away a star. Service was slow at first but eventually picked up and food did come out fast, food quality was excellent !! Would be back again. Also love their affordable Saturday lunch specials !!

I got the chance to visit Isamu today for lunch, and I am very glad that I did! I haven't found any great sushi in the Hudson Valley area since visiting here, and after today, I look forward to coming back for more from here! Isamu is a modestly sized restaurant in downtown Beacon, NY that focuses on both Chinese and Japanese cuisine including an ample selection of sushi. The decor of the restaurant is very soothing and calm, with a large wall mural, clean lacquered tables, and natural plants situated around the dining area. Nice place. I enjoyed the sushi. My fiance did too. We always share everything at restaurants. He said it was not the best in the world, but still worth getting again if you're walking along Main Street. Prices are average for a Japanese restaurant. The place was dim lit and clean. Not much to complain about. I really enjoyed the Godzilla roll. The homemade chicken dumplings were very tasty, and you can immediately tell their homemade from the dough. The sauce they came with was good too, especially when used as a side sauce for dipping sushi rolls into. Hot sake was good, and cheap!

Nice location but it is not upscale Japanese. While we were walking inside the shushi chef was taking nap in Sushi Bar, a lady was talking on phone with customers.
5 mnts later she took us far corner table. 2 other servers Came out and took our order right way.
The soup was very hot and delicious, short ribs were little over cooked and was chewy, seaweed salad was fresh and crunchy then Naruto was good.
We ordered 2 special roles and seafood teriyaki, some yellow tail shushi and 2 hand rolls.
The fish was fresh and the best hand roll.

Food was decent. The chicken Katsu bento box was a little bland. But the sushi was really good.
My meal came out about 10 minutes before my fiancé's meal so it was ackward just letting it sit there.
This place does have a friendly staff and comfortable dining atmosphere. Parking isn't usually an issue in this part of Main Street in beacon.
