Services
We are pleased to be able to provide our patients and their families with a modern, fully equipped small animal veterinary hospital. Our facility was designed to offer a full range of services in a comfortable setting. The treatment room is open and allows us to constantly monitor our patients by sight, smell, and sound.
Our staff is dedicated to keeping your furry family members healthy and happy. With that in mind, we offer a full service wellness plan. Preventative care is aimed at protecting your pet from disease and the early detection of health problems. Regular physical exams are important to detect health problems before they become serious illnesses.
Our in-house Ultrasound machine can give us insight into what's happening to your pet internally, allowing us to better diagnose and treat any issues. Through telemedicine we can submit your pet's x-rays for a radiologist to review. Evergreen Colorado's Elk Meadow Animal Hospital can take care of all your pet's laboratory diagnostics in-clinic, without sending you and your pet elsewhere for consults.
Canine rehabilitation therapy services for your dog are delivered by our rehabilitation therapist and veterinarian, Jason Kutz, DVM. Our physical therapy expert will custom design and develop a canine rehabilitation and exercise program for your dog. This program will involve at home exercises as well as in clinic message, exercise and water treadmill therapy to aid in recovery from a variety of conditions.
Dog and cat dental disease can be the root cause of mouth pain, loss of teeth, as well as heart, liver, and kidney disease. Our pet dental treatments are designed specifically with your particular dog or cat in mind depending upon their current overall health and pet dentistry needs. Many factors including breed and diet can affect your pet's dental health.

If I could give a six star review I would! Elk Meadow Vet Hospital has been so kind to our puppy Arpo since we moved to Evergreen one year ago. They have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions for us and we are very appreciative for all of their support and expertise.

Well the review below was about 2 years ago and we've gone to Elk Meadow several times since, and still for us, always a great experience and very reasonable fees - very. She got a full checkup today with me in the room, a couple shots, conversations with the aid and the doctor about her health any issues she's having (none, fortunately).
I really expected a bill in the $200+ range, cause, well vets are expensive. The total was $129 - nice.
But we'd continue using Elk Meadow even if it was pricey, that's not the issue. Our dog is well cared for there, and they are friendly, helpful and informative

I had just adopted a scared/timid dog and was concerned about frightening him with a vet visit. Before I handed my other dog and him over (covid restrictions) I discussed with them my concerns. When I read the report from the vet I knew it was the perfect choice: "Mr. Mudd was timid but he was responsive. We gave him lots of love and his eyes softened up."

Having the rare opportunity to be able to comment both from the perspective of a client and as someone lucky enough to see the behind the scenes, I want to share my experience in regards to the people and practice of Elk Meadow Veterinary Hospital.
First, I would like to tell you about the staff that run this amazing ship. At the top of this crew is a captain that honestly reminds me of Patch Adams.

Due to relocation I had to find a new vet for my 3 dogs, 2 with lifelong medications needed. The reviews seemed great. The results were poor. From the receptionists to the vet techs, every contact was incompetent. The Dr’s may be great; I wouldn’t know, because they didn’t care enough to meet a new client. They also prescribed what I and another Veterinarian thought was an aggressive treatment for an easily solved allergy. Please be the best advocate for your pet and look elsewhere.

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Jason Kutz and staff. My 12 y/o dog refused to use his rear leg or even touch it to the ground 2 weeks after he had TPLO surgery do to tearing his ACL and meniscus from slipping on ice. The TPLO surgery was performed by an orthopedic surgeon that recommended physical therapy for my dog. I took my dog to Elk… Meadow and Dr. Kutz is a specialized vet in canine rehab. He realized right away that my dog wasn’t using his leg do to his quad muscle being cramped from holding his leg up for several weeks. He was able to massage my dogs leg and muscle

We have been longtime clients of Elk Meadow Vet Hospital and today confirmed again why we will be clients for life! Our dog Daphne, has very intense skin allergies and suddenly developed full blown hives, itching and swelling in her face at 4pm on a Friday evening. I called over to Elk Meadow and they got us in immediately and without hesitation. They took us immediately back for care and gave our dog a steroid shot within minutes. We moved back to CO after 12 yrs in Scotland. After a 'not so great' experience at another local vet, Elk Meadow was recommended to me. I could tell straight away we were in the right place just by how my dog was acting. Thor is almost 14 yrs old, has had spinal surgery, another disc issue in his neck, allergies to injections, is on pain meds, has some arthritis and has started with Doggy Dementia. He walked into the hospital and didn't try to leave (that is a good sign!). He loved the receptionist even before getting a treat, when he saw the Vet Tech and Nurse he went straight to them to say HI

I have been taking my dogs to Elk Meadow for years. This is by far the best vet hospital that I have ever been to. Jason & his staff are excellent! Lilly gets the very best care by them. I will never change vets. I have moved from Evergreen to Denver & still go here, because they are truly the best!! The drive is worth it.

My first visit to Elk Meadow was today. My dog Charlie was spayed and also had a gastro pexy. The minute I walked into the clinic I was greeted by nothing less than professionalism and a very loving staff. I… knew I made the best decision for my Charlie and she was in great hands. Charlie is doing fantastic post op and I will definitely go back to Elk Meadow for all my pets needs. Fantastic veterinary care and I would recommend Elk Meadow beyond any other. Very pleased!!!:)
