A great place to go to die. They didn't put leg compressors on my grandfather who was bed ridden there. We're from Boston and every nurse and doctor I spoke with in Boston said that was just mental. He needed the same surgery a second time in Boston and then had no further problems.

Been sitting the ER waiting room for over 2 hours in excruciating pain with a crushed vertebrae/herniated disc. Still haven't been taken back or given anything for pain while I've watched the waiting room empty around me. I've literally watched people that arrived after me be taken back, and other people be taken back two or three times in the span that I've been waiting... I'm nearly paralyzed and incapable of moving! Useless care here.

Non professional demeanor amongst staff in ER and even worst with the so called Pt advocate , Lisa. Who definitely is there for no advocacy for pt and families. Was lied to several times. Never recieved a phone call from attending physician as promised.I had to call after 5 hrs of waiting. When asked for info, was literally butted out of ER waiting area by security guards who were trained by the Naples brutality police academy. Shame on all of them for shaming family members reaching out treatment and expecting an update when promised for their loved ones! My only regret right now is I wish

It is a shame that this hospital with such good professionals offers such a bad service. I have been there for almost an hour and there is a man who has been moaning in pain for an hour and no one is treating him. Really, very disappointed, I wonder why we pay large sums of money?

That was the worst hospital experience I have ever had. We just moved here from another state. I am a nurse. I waited six hours in a waiting room only to be told once I got in a room your pain is nothing you are fine go home. Very limited examination and when it was not what the Dr assumed based on one test there was no exam or possible reason given. Just go home

Last thursday, I was charged roughly $1,000 dollars by this hospital. The crazy thing is that I got there crying in pain and puking due to my Chrons Disease blockage, and I received ZERO medical attention. I was there for a minimum of 4 hours, and after pleading with them to atleast give me something for pain or nausea, they instead did literally nothing. All they did was check my vitals. They asked me if i I wanted to do a blood test, when I hadnt even seen any doctor. They completely neglected me. I followed up with my family doctor the next day, and I did indeed have a blockage. I do hope that

Absolutely the worst medical experience from both NCH Hospitals. Sent to Baker by my Dr. because of bleeding and diarrhea. After 6 hours sent home. Sent to North Naples the next day by same Dr. another 8 hours and the finally decided I had a problem and admitted me for 2 days. Discharged late on the 2nd day with no instructions except to get antibiotics from Drug store, although no one knew if I had an infection or why the had been prescribed. They were prescribed by the hospital Dr. I can only conclude that if you don't have Covid they don't have anyone to treat you. Sent home at 6:00 PM with

Absolutely a terrible hospital. I ended up there with extremely low blood pressure, dangerously low potassium levels and ultimately needed a gallbladder surgery. Prior to that, I needed to constantly go to the bathroom from the IV and one nurse was frustrated and told me to unplug my machine, go to the bathroom and plug it back in while I was having problems standing! The doctors don’t care- I was there for 3 days and supposed to have additional tests done which they never ordered. There is no communication between nurses, doctors or staff.

My mother was given terrible treatment. The nurses spent more time on the cell phones in the office playing games, texting, face timing .. then they did treating patients. She rang the bell to get a nurse, and No one came for almost 2 hours. They were literally laughing and joking around with eachother while patients were hitting the buttons to try and get help. What's even worse is that they didn't even care. They literally gave no care in the office. Restaurants don't even let you play with your cell phone. But a hospital with patients are allowed to play with their phone? It's a joke. You need

Worst hospital ever! My mom was admitted there after an ER visit for low heart rate. They wanted to keep her overnight for observation. As of 3pm the next day, she had not been seen by a doctor and had ZERO tests done. After many calls to the nurses station we couldn't get anyone who knew anything about her Situation. My moms room phone was shut off so we couldn't call her and just showed up to find her drugged and delirious. Even in person the nurses were not helpful and seemed agitated we were even asking. We asked for the doctor to be paged. He did finally call and was only reading

Had an ER visit. Physician was o.k. but support staff absolutely indifferent and uninterested in helping patients. Was hooked up to I.V. and other machinery, rang for nurse to unhook me so I could use the bathroom. Reply was "be right there." After 25 minutes, I unhooked all my stuff and wandered around the ER to find the bathroom. ER was NOT busy and all the staff was hanging around the nursing station doing everything but helping patients. When discharged, no one even came to show me the way out of the ER. Really pathetic support staff. These people are desperately in need

Clean, modern and bright facility, I was put in a large, well-equipped private room on the fourth floor after surgery. Everyone on 4 East I dealt with was kind, helpful, communicative, and skilled from the floor doctor to the nurses to the med techs to the dietician to the woman who cleaned my room. Although I had a different main RN almost every shift, every single one of them was excellent and highly competent which allowed me to focus on getting better. If I ever need to be hospitalized again, I most certainly would choose NCH North.

If I could give NCH a -10 stars I would. The emergency room is like a third world country. Waiting time can be up to 8-10 hours before anyone sees you. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Attitude from the staff is unacceptable. They all need sensitivity training. It's as if they all are working in a dollar store. Then once you get to a room it can be another 10 hours before the attending physician sees you.
To the entire staff in the ER , if you do t like your chosen profession, find a new job! Run, don't think about going to NCH!

I had Laparoscopic Inguinal hernia surgery by Dr. Robert W. Bailey at NCH North Hospital. The surgical service team from preadmission (Veronica) to post surgery (Sandra) all of the nurses culture as a team made me calm and comfortable ready for my surgery and ready to go home. Dr. Bailey's hurnia surgery on me was uneventful. I was discharged the same day with very little pain. I was able to walk from day one and now on day five im virtually bruise and pain free taking no pain medicine since day one. Dr. Bailey is one of the best Laparoscopic General Surgeons and he is known for being so.

Communication is horrid - even during covid other much bigger hospitals are able to let loved ones know a status - in or out of surgery - in a room - dead or alive - you get nothing here! But a small shared room and up to you to call or text anyone concerned about you.
Totally unacceptable. I or anyone I care about will never be back.

Horrible! Firstly, I battled incorrect coding for a year. They now state that they do not have a contract with my insurance. They did not accept payment and are coming at me for the entire bill. How does this represent a fair and balanced bill?

I see all the negative comments!
My mom just spent two weeks there on the orthopedic floor and I thought the care was great! Nurses came to the phone when I called in for info different times of the day and were forthcoming. They were patient with all my questions while visiting, and I had a lot! Even ER was a good experience on a Friday night! Everyone I encountered were professional and real! I do appreciate everyone's time and attention!

If I could give a zero I would. My son was involved in hit and run on his moped. He was misdiagnosed by their orthopedic doctor and said he's fine. No broken bones. When I took him to dr regala next day he told me his clavicle was fractured and needed Sirgery . They also were about to discharge him without even cleaning his blood from his legs. Oh did I mention the radiography staff robbed him while he was getting ex rays? Stole his heirloom silver necklace but oh yeah the cameras weren't working that day. I even filed a police report. Worst worst worst. We are literally sitting in this room for 12 hours AFTER 9 hours in the ER and not ONE doctor has come in to speak with us on his condition.

The ER was full of "maybes" and "possiblies" but not one doctor, since we moved to the room, has the decency to spend five minutes to fill us in on what, why and how. What were the test results? What is his diagnosis? What is his prognosis?

Oh but wait, he's contagious. With what? Not even the nurses tell us anything.

And yet they want us to stay another night? Theres no way this is anything more than

Good Doctors but lousy administration. I could write pages about the errors they have made, the time wasted on trying to work with them and the total lack of followup.
Just try finding an ombudsman or someone to report problems. Waste your time with incompetent staff. And if you tell you doctor, they will just say it is because they can't hire enough staff or that it is because of the seasonal influx.
I am used to competent and timely hospitals and doctors like at the University of Pennsylvania.
This is truly backwoods!
