Services
Your first visit will include a one-on-one exam with Dr. Montoya or Kang, which begins with a thorough review of your medical and dental history. Our primary goals for our pediatric patients is for them to have a very positive experience at the dentist. Even with amazing oral hygiene habits at home, it is important to visit with a hygienist to remove plaque and tartar build up.
Your first visit will include a one-on-one exam with Dr. Montoya or Kang, which begins with a thorough review of your medical and dental history. This is a great time to share any particular needs or concerns you may have related to dentistry. Head and neck exam: we begin with an exam of your muscles, lymph nodes and glands as well as a screening for TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorders).
Our primary goals for our pediatric patients is for them to have a very positive experience at the dentist. Dr. Jennifer Kang has nearly 10 years of experience providing dental care to children with an emphasis on positivity. Coming to the dentist should be fun! Kids are usually excited about the cool moving chair, the bright flashlight that hangs from the ceiling, and the toys they earn when they do a great job!
As a family practice, we understand that dental emergencies occur during and outside of normal office hours. Some are emergencies that can be managed with advice and medication but some situations are time sensitive and need to be treated immediately. Whatever the case may be, Dr. Montoya or Kang will be available to answer your phone call 24 hours a day to help you determine the best course of action.
When repairing extensive decay, injury or deterioration of a tooth, a crown is usually recommended. A crown, also called a cap, is a ceramic material which provide cover and protection of the tooth to prevent future fractures and possible loss of the tooth. Due to advancements in dental technologies, we are usually able to restore a tooth in a single appointment.

Dr. Kang has been my dentist for a few years now and she and the staff have never fallen short. They are always super kind, informative, and helpful, and they are definitely quick and efficient. I have never been waiting for my appointment or to be seen by someone for more than 3 minutes. I love the atmosphere there and I am not a person who enjoys the dentist very much. I recently moved to SLO and I make the half hour drive for their exceptional service. 10/10 recommend to everyone and everyone.

I really want to acknowledge and thank Doctors Montoya for making many ecological changes in practice over the last few months since I was last in. The bamboo toothbrushes are a real class act. Love the new floss and the chapstick that are also made with thoughtful ingredients.

Unfortunately, I've been prone to cavities my entire life. I've been to the dentist so many times that when I go to the dentist for a procedure, I have zero fear. I just feel like it's another day. I honestly couldn't count how many different dentists I have seen over my 44 years of existence. In short, my experience as a dental patient is vast to say the very least. I will say that all dentists are different. All dental offices are different as well. It's extremely important to select a dentist who is intelligent, skilled and caring. To me, having a dentist who cares for your overall well being
