Catina is one of our many longtime team members. She joined us in 2003, and has worked in the dental field since 1999. She loves working with our team to provide only best dental care for every patient. Catina studied at Brevard Community College and the University of Central Florida. She holds certification in CPR, dental radiology, and local anesthesia administration.

After attending Averett College in Virginia for his bachelor's of science degree, Dr. Chenet earned his DDS degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. He graduated in 1982, and that same year, he entered the US Air Force, serving as a dental officer. His assignments carried him across the nation and the world.
Dr. Derek Chenet has always been exposed to dentistry ever since he was very little. If you're a regular patient, you've already met his father, Dr. Cedric C. Chenet and experienced his expertise. Today, Derek is excited to make Dental Excellence his new professional home and work alongside his mom and dad.

I am a new patient with Dr. Cedric Chenet. Both my husband and I were impressed with how much time Dr. Chenet spent with me and how he was very thorough. He also listened to my concerns, and gave me options without the "hard-sell" to spend money on something that may not work for me. A.J. one of the assistants there, was really nice and efficient. My husband will be a new patient of his also and we're both looking forward to being long term patients of his.

Today I had the pleasure of having a cleaning and checkup at Dr. Chenet's office. The staff are incredible, efficient and during these pandemic times very thorough with all of their safety practices. My initial x-rays were taken by Chenna who was very caring, funny and a joy to meet. Next I had my cleaning performed by Monique. She did a brilliant job and most importantly was really good at explaining my treatment and how I should properly perform my personal dental care. I am a new patient with Dr. Chenet. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly staff and invited to tour the office and learn about all the services provided. My dental hygenist gave me a thorough cleaning and spent time explaining options moving forward. Dr. Chenet greeted me with a warm smile and discussed a program of dental care that would create a better smile. All finances were explained very carefully and based on my needs.
Over the past 60 years, I have seen many different dentists, however I never had such warm friendly care. I look forward to my follow up visits and trust his office

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Cedric Chenet for over a year and really think the world of the dental service we have received from the staff and Dr. Chenet himself. I had a dental emergency recently and Dr. Cedric was not available but Dr. Derek Chenet was. The staff got me right in and Dr. Derek was as wonderful as his dad. He also took control and corrected an ill fitting mouth guard that I had received. I wouldn't hesitate to go to either Dr. Chenet!

Shortly after dental offices were permitted to be open because of the pandemic, I had a cleaning at Dr. Chenet's office. While they have always done an excellent job, I was very impressed by their new measures to make sure of the safety of both the patients and their staff, beginning with a health screening in my car, before I was allowed to enter the office. The staff was very reassuring and informative and my hygienist did an great job. I felt every possible measure was taken to protect both myself and their staff.

In my 74 years I have been treated by a significant number of quality dentists and really didn't believe that I would find a dentist and dental practice that clearly exceeds the others in quality of service and professionalism. Dr. Chenet and his staff understand that they operate a business that depends on delivering the highest quality of service that includes treating all patients/customers with dignity and respect - even snowbirds like my wife and me. The office staff is congenial and welcoming. Rather than wait for a client to ask questions, they deliver a complete package of information

Love my hygienist, Lisa! Very thorough and caring. This dental practice has been a life saver to me. I experienced some very bad dentistry after moving to Florida in 2003. Cost me over $5,000.00 to have serious problems corrected at the University of Michigan. Finding Dr. Chenet along with his well trained staff has been a blessing!
