Services
The business changed again with a new storefront chapel on 21st Street and what was then Hudson Boulevard and with the addition of young William R. Migliaccio to the business after graduating from Bayonne High School.

The Funeral Home eventually outgrew it's location and "Willie" Migliaccio moved it briefly to a house on West 35th Street before settling it into It's current location at 33rd Street and Hudson County Boulevard in 1953 with his wife Mildred Migliaccio. The house was a turn of the century private estate which once had a Fourth floor widow's perch as evidenced by this postcard of our Home which we know was taken in 1912.
Carol Ann Migliaccio celebrated 25 successful years as Manager of the funeral home in 2001 and in 2011 she was honored as "Funeral Director of the Year for her continued outstanding service" by Archbishop John J. Myers and The Archdiocese of Newark. In 2013, Carol Ann's eldest son Kevin Stapleton also graduated from The American Academy McAllister's Institute of Mortuary Science in New York City and received his NJ State Mortician License.
We will assist your family in planning a funeral and choosing the options that suit your families needs and your loved ones wishes. We are able to assist you in holding services in a wide variety of areas. From our chapel, to your church or at the cemetery we are able to prepare a meaningful service to honor your loved one.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.

We have always had a very pleasant outcome using O'Brian's funeral services. Nancy and Philip treat us so kindly in such difficult times. I had the same good experience with their dad years ago. Highly
Recommend them in times of sorrow.

I would like to thank Migliaccio Funeral Home from the bottom of my heart. From top to bottom, manager all the way down to the pallbearers. I have never ever been so impressed like I was this past week. Every little detail and true professionalism was shown for our family and for that I will forever be grateful.

Unfortunately due to certain circumstances we had to go a different way but the man who runs this funeral parlor is a very kind and considerate gentleman.
I believe we would have been very happy if we could have gone with him.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Michael and his team made one of the most heartbreaking and devastating moments in my families life easier then we thought it would be. From the second we notified him of our fathers passing till everything was complete, they showed compassion and care and made sure my family was comfortable. Tha k you from the bottom of our hearts.

This is Our first time that we were responsible for taking care of someone’s funeral. Michael from Migliaccio made it so easy. I understand he has to be nice because it’s his business, but He was genuine, compassionate, and warm. Both of my wife’s Grandparents, Uncles, Aunt, My Mother, Grandmother, & Uncles We’re all serviced at Migliaccio’s. They are the best, the quality is like no other. I just wanted everyone to know, because they deserve it!
*Thank You Migliaccio’s, you made it so easy.*

Michael is amazing. I lost my father in July. My husband contacted the Migliaccio answering service. He called back within minutes. This was during the height of the pandemic. My husband and I never had to arrange for funeral services ourselves. So we were completely lost. But Michael assured us he would deal with everything. From the cremation, to dealing with the insurance, to Medicaid. The death certificate had an issue and he fixed it before it was certified.
He handled everything with such professionalism. He made a terrible situation so much easier, just knowing everything was taken care

If I could give 10 stars , then I would
These are a group of very humane and thoughtful professionals who went out of their way to make our family comfortable during a difficult time. They were very honest and didn’t prey on our sorrows in order to get us to spend more money than needed . I will never forget the way they treated us .
Michael is a true gem . I don’t know how he does what he does every day but I’m grateful for people like him who made this time in our lives so much easier
