Very good Mexican food. What I mean by that is the food has a real good slow cooked taste on the meat in the burritos. The tamales are real not fake like most places. You can tell the difference in the cooking because most places over salt to make up for flavor. My family will call this place home as far as Mexican food is concerned. ( I don't give 5 stars or even post unless is the best or the worst. )

Food is really good. Tacos al pastor, chicken specialities, deep fried tacos- just a great variety of Mexican. BBQ is decent. Staff are friendly. We especially love a cherry coke from here- hand mixed. Sometimes they leave the bar doors open and the dining area has too much a smoke smell, that's our only complaint.

I was in Kansas City for a horse show and found out (bad me) that it was going to be Fathers Day that Sunday. I had to play it off - super cool "yeah of course I know that ... that's why I am going to bring back Kansas City BBQ to St Louis. Now I have thrown the gauntlet down - how hard could it be to buy BBQ? Well not that hard - BUT none close by opened early enough. I saw on my car's GPS Moocho BBQ - I called them and they answered and said "sure we can get you BBQ come on over." Off I went in my trust car to find the BBQ. What an amazing restaurant! We visited on Saturday the 11th. Super friendly, outgoing staff...the young men checked up on us constantly. I had to laugh when I saw the heap of fajitas. It probably took 15 minutes to get that wall of steam under control. Ordered guac and pico, put it on literally everything and pigged out (it had been a rough day). We'll be back soon, will be trying the BBQ, and intend to bring reinforcements. This restaurant is extra special. We really did have a great time. And the food is awesome!

Moocho's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Oak Grove. With that being said, it's also my favorite BBQ restaurant! I won't lie. When I first came here, I thought...Mexican and BBQ? This could be bad. Real bad. In all honesty, it's good. Real good. What can I say? Who doesn't want chips and salsa with their burnt ends? I enjoy it often. They have a bar as well along with seating outside.

We went there for the first time, Sunday on Mother's Day. I ordered the taco pastor and a tamale. I thought it was very good food. My husband liked his burrito too.
WARNING: I ordered the LARGE margaritta, I'll never do that again...lol.
Honest to goodness, this margaritta is 42 oz.., and it only cost $11.00.
I could not drink it all. Next time; I think I'll order the smaller one! But over all I had a good experience :-)

Had Mexican food, just OK, average, nothing great, but they had on their menu cheesecake factory cheesecake so I ordered it to go he asked me what topping do I want I said cherry topping. All he did was took cherrys from the bar and put them on top of the cheesecake with the stem, like he just took them out of the jar, and it was not cheesecake factory cheesecake it actually tasted old!!!! $4.50 for crappy cheesecake plus the Fact they have on their menu it's cheesecake factory cheesecake which indeed it is not!!!

The decore is beautiful. The waitress was outstanding. Then there was the food. The "enormous wings" were nothing more than uncut wings overcooked until they were like eating a 2 by 4 board (and about as flavorful). The wings came with a child size handful of fries. All this can be yours for only $9.95. Our friend had a beautiful side salad for $7.99. That was the most expensive side salad I ever saw. Last but not least was beer for $5.00 a glass. Happy hour is only Friday and Saturday. How they are surviving in Lone Jack is beyond me. Next time go a little further west in 50

While looking for a BBQ restaurant outside of Kansas City we followed the Yelp reviews to this incredible restaurant. Fun energy and vibe, absolutely the best carnitas I've ever tasted. The meat was flavor-infused and fork tender. My husband enjoyed the beef Chili Verde, very tasty, very well done and every bite savored. Don't pass up the excellent margaritas and freshly made guacamole! Wish we could be regulars here!

A seemingly traditional tex mex menu adds a page for barbecue fare. Then they explain that they will use any smoked meat to make any menu item.... shut the front door. What's up Kansas City??
Great service with friendly waiters who explained that they make everything from scratch every morning. Original barbecue sauces, great pork, tasty salsa and a really good shrimp soup to boot! Modelo beer on tap, pickled jalapenos and a comfortable, relaxed environment that makes me wanna move closer.
