I can't say enough about the level of professionalism and compassion demonstrated by F. Ruggiero & Sons. They made a very difficult situation much easier to handle. Their attention to detail and their open and honest approach, made our family feel comforted and confident in their ability to handle our mother's funeral the way we wanted. We have a large family and not everyone could attend in person. Ruggiero & Sons arranged for us to connect family from around the country via Zoom and it worked out perfectly! Everyone was impressed and pleased with the way everything turned out. I would highly

The care and sensitivity that Ruggiero & Sons showed during this difficult period are beyond words. They walk you through every step, no matter what the situation is and without judgement. Putting a loved one to rest is never easy, but I take some comfort in choosing them.

On behalf of our entire family, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to you and your team.
You did a terrific job for our mom’s (Joan) wake and funeral service.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness as you guided us through the process.
All of those decisions seem easy until you are in the moment and then they become so monumental.
I was so concerned about how my mom would look after losing so much weight and your team made her look beautiful.
You also made the room so lovely the way you arranged the flowers…. I appreciate your attention to detail.
I am sure she was looking down smiling

The solace provided by the Ruggiero family was outstanding. Michelle was so helpful and patient throughout the funeral planning process. She helped personalized my husband’s funeral and honored the essence of his personality. My husband looked like he was finally at rest. Mike led the funeral service beautifully. Jessica’s prompt responses to my requests exemplified professionalism. I would highly recommend Ruggiero in your time of need.

My family and I lost two loving people. We reached out to F. Ruggiero & Sons, Inc. Funeral Home for assistance for the wake and cremation. Andrew and Jessica was so wonderful with their services. They were so informative, patient, and understanding. The arrangements of the wake memorial service was so well maintained and organized that even the rest of the family was very impressed. During the mass they kept it nice and memorial for the family. We are astonished by the way they had organized it all with such great attitude. I would recommend them to anyone who needs these services.

Ruggiero Funeral Home is a solid place. Many of these mortuaries look dusty or ill-kept. Not this one. The walls and furnishings look clean and fresh with digital tools to guide visitors as necessary.
Lots of parking is available making the visit a little easier.
One thing though—the relative we went to mourn looked far from her best even considering the circumstances. God knows I’m no expert but I’ve buried two parents and am glad they didn’t look like this. It could be a one-off but in full honesty I thought I should mention it.

I honestly never thought I'd be "reviewing" a funeral home, but due to certain circumstances recently and the service that was received, I felt it was necessary. I checked in here on the day only because I wanted to remember that I was going to write this review.

Firstly, this place has been around for many, many years. It was always here for just about the time I've been in the area. They have a great reputation. I've been in here for wakes a few times over the years, but of course going to pay respects you don't really pay too much attention to much inside the actual

The Ruggiero family treated my family and needs with the upmost respect and dignity. My family is very large and observed Hindu rites. The Ruggieros were incredibly thoughtful of all the specific ceremonies needed to be carried out. I've never carried out funeral arrangments prior to this and Andrew was patient and offered helpful advice for managing conversations with my insurance provider as we finalized paperwork. Additionally, yhe funeral had a turnout much, much larger than our room.could hold. The director and staff quickly provided additional seating, found an additional room to help

This was the chosen funeral home for my aunt when it was imminent she would need these services as her cancer progressed. I didn't deal with the arrangements myself, but my mother assisted (who doesn't use Yelp) and she and my family were impressed with the whole process, between communicating my aunt's wishes and helping to carry them out. Andrew was our point of contact and he was readily accessible whenever my family had questions, and he accompanied us throughout the process of saying goodbye to our loved one with professionalism, knowledge, and care. They struck a wonderful

A year ago my father passed away and since then I have been meaning to leave a review. I come from a huge Albanian community. We have very specific needs and traditions. On top of accommodating all of those there were several things I needed guidance with as it was my first time making these type of arrangements. Andrew it's a year later and I still remember your name. You were the most helpful and kindest person at that time. You were able to accommodate everything I needed and my fathers final send off was beautiful. Thank you so much!!!

As native of the Wakefield section of the Bronx, the name 'F Ruggiero & Sons' has been a brand I have known for decades. I use to pass the former location on White Plains Road (close to East 237th Street) as a small boy everytime I went grocery shopping with my late mother during the 1980s. After their departure from the neighborhood sometime during the 1990s, I always knew that someday I would have to call on them to properly send one of my loved ones on their ultimate journey.

After a horrific experience with a Bronx-based funeral chain that caters to the Latino community (not

Both of my parents had their services held here, and I was amazed at how great the staff was in both instances. My mom had been a devout Buddhist, and although I'm sure it isn't common for them to hold Buddhist services, they researched the traditions and helped to plan accordingly within those traditions. The staff addressed us by our names and made us feel like personal acquaintances. They were incredibly respectful, personable, and professional, making the difficult times a bit easier to endure. I would give more tha 5 stars if I could.
