Services
Our firm is family owned and operated, with a well trained staff who are available 24 hours a day. We are a full-service funeral home offering shipping services to and from anywhere in the United States or foreign countries. We are always available to supply any information necessary to assist in making funeral arrangements, whether it be at need or preneed.
The funeral home was first opened in 1974 under the name Northern Valley Memorial Home. The first funeral service held at the home was for then-major, John Hogan. Anthony and Joyce Pizzi acquired the business in 1977, renaming it to Anthony R. Pizzi Funeral Home. The community-minded and well-respected funeral home served Northvale and the surrounding area for 37 years.
Funerals can take many forms, as families choose the services and ceremonies they find most appropriate for their loved one. We'll leave the details up to you. You can choose where, when and how to hold the service. You can choose the music you want played, the prayers that will be recited, and the special services and personal touches that will help you honor a life well-lived.
Beloved husband of 67 years to Joan (nee Verdigi). Loving father of Diane, Vincent and his wife Xianhui, and Jane Weiss and her husband Carey. Cherished great-grandfather of Jace, Hendrix, Vivianna, Olivia and Mila. Dear brother of the late Antoinette, Joseph and Josephine. Vincent was a US Navy veteran.

The best decision I made during a difficult time was choosing Pizzi Funeral Home in Northvale, N.J.. Michael Pizzi is a kind, sensitive, and generous person with expertise on how to deal with the many issues that have to be dealt with during a very stressful time.
He made suggestions about certain choices, but there was no pressure, and there was always the option that I could make changes if necessary. What a comfort that was, and also knowing that any requests I made would be honored by Michael, his wife, Pam, and the rest of the staff. Barbara

Michael and Pam Pizzi are some of the best people I've met. They're really there to take care of you during the darkest times when you lost someone you love. Michael responded to emails and text messages even very late at night (non-emergency messages). Thank you for all that you've done for our church members and we're so glad we've met you both. Top notch and can't say how much and how highly I recommend Pizzi Funeral Home.

I’m still thankful 2 years later for how professional and kind everyone here is. My friend just lost her mom this morning and I told her “I planned 2 funerals back to back 2 years ago and I can’t really tell you everything you need to do because the Pizzis handled everything”. Thank you for making this sad task so easy for me and my family. It was a terrible time for us made easier because of this funeral home.

We have used Pizzi Funeral Home 4 years ago for my dad & just very recent for my mom. The most caring people & always available for you. Mike & Pam Pizzi make you feel like family & making sure everything is just right, including their staff. Our family couldn’t have done it without them. We had a situation trying to get her granddaughter flown in overseas because of a canceled flight, it all worked out. We highly recommend them & during a very sad difficult time they make the process exceptional! Thank you Mike, Pam & staff.

Mike and Pam Pizzi along with their retired parents Joyce and Anthony are family to all who are in need of their services. The Pizzis were wonderful to work with and we give them our highest recommendation. Mike made sure he took care of every detail, so we didn't have any concerns or unanswered questions during a sad and difficult time. He was professional, genuine, caring and always available when we needed him. Pricing for all services was very fair and reasonable, and Mike steered us away from purchasing things we didn't need. Our deepest thanks to Mike, Pam and the entire staff!
