I am a graduate of Resistance University and the Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research. Since 1996, I have been training clients of all ages and fitness levels. I have worked with teen athletes, senior citizens, executives, post rehab patients, and those with special needs, such as cerebral palsy. It's funny, in my 21 years as a trainer, I tend to think of clients ages' as the age they were when I started with them.

Over the past two days, I have been reminded that is not the case - and that's not only a good thing, it's an amazing thing. In one client's gym, he has a picture of his 60th birthday celebration last year. This client not only doesn't look 60, he plays a high performance sport, and is one of my strongest clients.
Services
Your workouts will be designed to your preferences and your body's structure. The main focus is on resistance training (strength training), but cardiovascular exercise and flexibility will also be addressed in the workout plan. No equipment necessary, I bring everything that's needed. I also assist in exercise equipment purchasing.

I am a passionate student of exercise, and I use only the most effective and scientific methods available.
A skilled personal trainer needs to know the materials and tolerances of the structure they are working with, how it works, its potential and limitations, and the risks and benefits of a particular chosen action or decision. I use this "engineer's approach" when taking clients through training sessions.

I have trained with Mike in my home for over two years and I’ve never been “hurt” from his workouts. I can’t say the same for other trainers or classes I have taken. You just can’t beat 1-1 student to instructor ratio for instruction compared to a 20-1 ratio in most studio classes. He is a thorough teacher as well. Under his instruction I’ve learned HOW to do the exercises, gain muscle and protect myself while doing it.
