Fisher Funeral Home was established and is operated and owned by the Fisher family since 1885. There is only one location (1520 Effingham Street in Portsmouth, VA). I had more family taken care at Fisher Funeral Home with the most recently my daughter on January 22, 2021. Karen Fisher Davis is the best person in this business. She and her staff are caring and professional. My daughter looked just like herself which I was very pleased with. Karen was patient, kind and satisfied all our needs and concerns. I will always recommend others too her.

My experience was perfect, Karen and her staff were always professional and Karen patiently guilded me through the whole process. I guess no one writes reviews for funeral homes, but I do. Fisher has provided exceptional care to my family in the time of need. Personally, three times have they assisted my family; From coordinating a standard funeral to receiving a deceased loved one from out of state to coordinating military honors. Hats off to them.
