TaeKwonDo is a Korean martial art. TaeKwonDo was developed during the 1940s and 1950s by various Korean martial artists by combining and incorporating the elements of Karate and Chinese martial arts along with the indegenous Korean fighting styles of taekkyeon, gwonbeop and subak.

The oldest governing body of TaeKwonDo is the Korea TaeKwonDo Association (KTA), formed in 1976 by a collabortive effort by representatives from the nine original kwans, or martial arts schools, in Korea.
Moo Duk Kwan is the trademarked name of a martial art organization founded by Hwang Kee in Korea in 1945. Licensed Moo Duk Kwan schools teach Soo Bahk Do, formerly Tang Soo Do(and earlier 'Hwa Soo Do'). Upon leaving Korea Master Allen was stationed in Thailand where he continued his study of TaeKwonDo.

Fantastic with Kids!
Been coming to Power Martial Arts off and on for 4 years and I have to say that they take pride and care in working with kids. This doesn't feel like a place like so many that just try to churn out kids with belts to get parents to spend more. They are truly trying to reach kids not just Tae Kwon Do but respect for themselves and others, discipline, dedication, and taking care of themselves.
We have never felt pressured to push for more classes or for joining the sparring class or tournaments. It is all child driven.
This truly is a family run business. They know every kids
