Dr. Sara Jo Charles dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since the age of 10. After working as a veterinary assistant for 12 years and obtaining a BS Degree in animal sciences from the University of Florida, she decided to fulfill that dream. She graduated from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015, and then moved back to her home state of Florida.

Such wonderful staff! Always cheerful and welcoming. My dogs have seen both Doctor Sarah and Doctor Anne who are fantastic, they take their time to check on my dogs overall wellbeing. I brought my dog in for her first appointment today and could not be happier with our experience! Gracie would shake and cling to me at our previous vet and from start to finish at Keystone we were both calm… and relaxed. Kellie, Caleb, and the doctor were patient and gentle and took great care of us. I cannot recommend them enough!

Fabulous practice that puts patient care first. They work to get me in rapidly and are always available to answer questions.. I have a dog with chronic ear infections and they are doing everything they can to get him fixed up. The support staff is super passionate and my pups love them. Highly recommend!

If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would!!! Everyone at this vet, EVERYONE, is so compassionate and friendly and very knowledgeable. I truly can’t say enough glowing things about Keystone. I am so blessed that I found a vet that truly cares about my fur babies and treats them with such love and kindness, as if they were their very own.
We’ve had a few difficult decisions to make here in the last couple months and the care and compassion shown by everyone has just blown me away. They were professional, compassionate and explained everything at every step.

The good people we liked have left. And when mom in law had emergency during open hours, and called...no one answered so she got voicemail. She then got in her car and drove to the clinic and got there before closing and doors were locked and everything was closed. And they were supposed to still be open! No one checked the voicemail before… leaving and closed up before hours.
Thankfully the Animal Hospital of Lakewood Ranch was open and helped her right away. The dog is doing great now...and on a completely different treatment plan than what this clinic started. After 3 weeks, he is better

I was impressed by the service I received at Keystone. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Dr. Sara is great with communicating and explaining everything to you. Due to Covid, I was unable to to go inside with my dog for his appointment, but Dr. Sara called me multiple times during his appointment to ask questions and let me know what was going on. She seemed to really care and was very thorough. The next day I even received a follow up phone call to check up on my dog and she how he was feeling after his shots. The wait time at his appointment was minimal and the pricing was very fair. I would

Started going to Keystone once my vet changed hands, it just wasn't the same. I love the friendly staff here. They have welcomed my fur babies with open arms and taken such good care of them. The price is also great with first visit being free. Who doesn't like free. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in this area.
