As a pediatric dentist, I appreciate the opportunity to shape children into good dental patients by providing positive dental experiences. I am especially drawn to preventive and minimally-invasive dentistry, as these improve dental health and deliver good experiences and results. I am equally as dedicated to educating patients and families about oral health and nutrition.

Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your child to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice.
What I love the most about being a pediatric dentist and dentist anesthesiologist is having the opportunity to ease children's fears and make their dental appointment stress free. My favorite moments are when a child has conquered their fear of the dentist after many previous attempts and develops a trusting relationship with our office and me as their dentist.
Dr. Don, Dr. Mindy, and our team are relatable, down-to-earth people, believing in community and family. While we're experienced professionals, we're also warm, friendly, and practical. We know how important it is to help our young patients feel at home in the dental office and we know how to help even the most anxious little one feel safe.
The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) was organized by the American Society of Dentistry for Children in 1940. It is the only ADA-recognized certifying board for the specialty of pediatric dentistry. The vision of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is to achieve excellence in pediatric dentistry through certification of all pediatric dentists.

He has been my son's dentist for 9 years now. He has never changed in his fantastic chairside manners or his great work. He tells my son directly everything he is doing before he does it and makes sure he is comfortable while doing it. He gives him laughing gas to calm him and they have movies playing above the chair. My son is actually excited to go see Dr. Skaff. #1 in my book.

I took my 4yo son here several years ago. he was to be sedated to have a tooth filled. my son had ASD and was completely nonverbal. he came out covered in bruises and crying... not from anesthesia, because they DIDN'T SEDATE HIM! They, admittedly just held him down and fixed the cavity. I filed a complaint.

Took my 2 year old son for his 1st visit. The whole office & staff were amazing! The dental hygienist who cleaned my sons teeth was the sweetest & of course so clam with him! We saw Dr. Mindy. We couldn’t have asked for a better visit! In & out within 30 mins. No long wait time either. Over all, the best dental office for kids!

Dr. Mindy is amazing! Our son has some anxiety issues and she is very patient with him and reassuring. She didn’t try to push him through the procedure, but talked him through it, explaining everything she was doing and the tools she was using. The assistant worked very well with him too. I highly recommend Kanawha City Pediatric Dentistry.
