It has been quite some time since I last saw a dentist. A toothache that I (rightfully) suspected was caused by an infection finally pushed me to do it.
Dr. Pelaez was able to schedule me at the last minute for an exam, identified the issue, and discussed options with me that wouldn't involve extracting the tooth.
I opted for extraction.
The day of the extraction, Dr. Pelaez once again made it clear that there were other options. For personal reasons I chose to proceed with the extraction. He made sure I was comfortable with the process. He explained what he was about to do each step of the

I haven’t seen a dentist in 5 years or a counselor in 2. My girlfriend has been trying to get me to call for months, but today I finally got the courage to do it! I’ve been struggling with managing my emotions and managing a small drug addiction that’s starting to become a problem. So, I’m finally taking concrete steps in the right direction. I already run and do yoga/meditate frequently to manage things, but having a counselor will help. My breath has also gotten pretty bad, and caring about my hygiene has never been a priority for me (even though it should be at this point).

Dr. Pelaez is amazing. He is so passionate about dentistry and really takes the time to explain everything. We have referred so many people to him and I continue to recommend him. His office is clean, modern, with personal TVs in each room. I have never felt that I was being overcharged and the hygienists are great as well. We live out in Chesapeake but do not mind the drive because he makes it worth it.

I had severe tooth pain. Called and left a message. As it what after hours, I waited to get a call back. At 11:45 am, having no returned call, I telephoned again. Was told that I could be seen in a couple days. The advertisement states they will see you the same day. They DON’T! The receptionist said she tried calling me back, she didn’t. No missed calls or messages. TOTAL FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! I DO NOT TRUST THEM!

I was in such pain when I tried to find a dentist that was in my network,but most of all one that would accept me with work done by another dentist out of state. To get an appointment considering it was Friday I was not in high hopes of being seen. Not only did I get an appointment that day,Dr.Palaez was concerned and explained what was going on with my tooth. I have confidence in this Doctor for him to fix the problem. Everyone at his office were great,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dentistry of Virginia to anyone.
